D. Corydon Hammond has compiled an extensive selection of hypnotherapy scripts and metaphors for a wide variety of professional hypnotherapy practitioners. It is the definitive handbook for the practicing hypnotist. Along with the metaphors and scripts, the book is loaded with both general and specific information and advice on hypnosis. The handbook is the perfect desk reference, and will be a great asset for anyone who is serious about their commitment to serving their clients in the best possible fashion. Take note, that this volume is best defined as a desk reference book, and can be rather laborious reading. It may seem to be repetitive, but, each of the examples of suggestions and metaphors has a justifiable reason for being includes in this book. Variety of treatment and minor differences in approach to treatment are inherent in the field of clinical hypnosis, and very well represented in this massive collection. It is resource for specific treatment methodology and a wealth of advice on how to adapt many of these scripts to meet the demands of your own particular circumstance, and clients needs. I have rated the Handbook of Hypnotic Suggestions and Metaphors as "excellent", keeping in mind that is is a professional hypnosis desk reference, not intended for casual of light reading.
