Industry Reviews The first two (see preceding entry) of a six volume handbook the primary objective of which is to provide the reader with essentially all available information on the application of ion exchange resins to inorganic analytical chemistry. This information was extracted from some 6000 original publications in many languages (which included Japanese, Chinese, and Russian) so that additional translation work was required in numerous cases. The practical part in Volume I is preceded by a general description of the theoretical, instrumental, and other principles underlying the various applications of ion exchange resins in inorganic analytical chemistry. This and other portions can be used as a text and for reference. Volume I covers rare earth elements; Volume II, actinides; Vols. III-VI not seen. Acidic paper. Annotation copyright Book News, Inc.
