The Handbook of Doll Repair and Restoration by Mary Westfall is a very good book.
I like this book because it is comprehensive enough for the novice, yet detailed with information for the experienced in doll repair & restoration.
I bought this book as a beginner in doll repair & restoration. Even as a beginner,
this book has helped me tremendously.
Well worth the investment.

A very through book on restoring dolls that were made before 1950. Good section on wig restoring, cloth body rebuilding, resetting eyes, making rockers for eyes,and general extensive repair of very old dolls.

I DECIDED TO DO SOME BASIC RESTORATION ON DOLLS. IT'S A GREAT BOOK AND A SUPER BARGIN FOR WHAT I LEARNED. THE ONLY DRAWBACK IS A LACK OF PICTURES. I WOULD SAY IF YOU ARE THINKING OF BASIC RESTORATION THIS IS THE BOOK TO BUY.
