An Unusual Take for Smith and Audience

Never have I seen a movie fluctuate so many times between being original, clever and funny and the next scene completely contrasting any praises I had for it just a moment prior. The directing was alien and more comparable to the camera filming, which looks like the zoom button could not be controlled nor was a tripod available... The central mode see-saws between different genres near every ten minutes and at the final last chapters I started to realize the key scene I have been waiting for, what all of this mess has been building up to, isn't coming or will be identifiable as the peak in the storyline. Nor was I able to understand (if there was) the real antagonist of the moment. The CGI was especially present, but not mind blowing for what was being laid before me. Overall the laughs were good when they existed and it was definitely picked up by Smith's out-of-usual character performance (although unsupported by others surrounding him) but the bottom line is this movie has about as safe of a landing as Hancock performs (over and over again), which more like crashing with style.
