Graphics: Breathtaking 9.5/10
The graphics great. The rumors of an upgraded Halo 2, or Halo 2 like graphics is not true. With smooth framerates and stunning effects, you will be taken aback. Take some time to watch the backgrounds and environments and the detail of that went into these levels. This is after you clear everything that moves.

Sound: Amazing – 10/10
The sounds, music, effects, and voices take you immediately into the game. Surround sound is a must so you can hear the shots, shouts, and footsteps of the your opponents in this game. The score for this game heightens you senses, and truly brings you into the game.

Gameplay: Spectacular – 9/10
Smooth animations, large levels, smart enemies and A.I., big battles, and 4-player co-op = awesome. Without giving anything away, this is some great storytelling that gives way to some genuine wow moments.

Replay Value – Amazing 10/10
Multiplayer. That is all I have to say. This game has high replay value. Choose which way you would like to play online, but with the achievements, future downloadable content, 4-player co-op, and with over 1 million copies pre-ordered, and 4 million copies on retailers shelves in the first week, there will always be someone to play with.

Overall – Perfect 9.5/10
I am a fan of First-Person-Shooters (FPS) and all that is associated with them. I enjoy the emersion, and critique them heavily. This game allows you to “finish the fight”, but this game is so much more. The campaign brings closure, but it is the multiplayer aspect that will revolutionize XBOX Live and online gaming as we know it.

Halo 3 is Bungie’s 3-year project and baby, with unlimited resources from Microsoft, that was made to send Microsoft’s XBOX 360 to the next level, and it was worth the wait and money. With over 1 million pre-orders, this epic tale concludes with the highest pre-orders of a game to date. This game in campaign feels, and plays near perfect, and allows veterans and newcomers alike to enjoy and truly experience this game. The story line finishes up the previous two games, and is just long enough to make it feel right, and not dragged out. It took approximately 8.5 hours to beat it on legendary difficulty. It may be a bit shorter, though this was played immediately after a midnight sale of this game. The co-op was well done, and creates a new feel for campaign FPS games. I look forward to the future where this will be the standard in playing games.

The online is well done. Halo 3 has once again set the standard of what an online matchmaking/playing system should be. Putting together fun maps, objectives, and customizable Advatars, this game will appeal to the “newbie”, as well as the everyday online Halo player. With the Halo 2 system being overhauled, and the Bungie stat-tracker updated, this game will quickly become the number one game on XBOX Live.

I could write a five page review on this game, the battles, the enemies, weapons, and AI, but it still would not do it justice. If you have an XBOX 360, you should buy this, and buy it now. If you have thought about getting an XBOX 360, this would be the reason to get one. Does it live up to the hype? I don’t think anything could have lived up to the hype that is game received. This game was praised as the second coming, but what it is one of the best games of 2007, and is beautiful and fun to play.

PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE A NON-SCRATCHED DISK IN THIS EDITION.

Halo 3 is a great game, but when you buy the collectors edition there have been problems with the disks coming lose, and that happened to mine. The disks worked fine just a little frustrating.

I love this game because of the multi functions and the diversity it has. It is a definitely must have and is very fun to play with friends and loved ones.

Beautiful, (tear brought to eye) :-) I can't really imagine a better more diverse game that has an excellent Single Player, 4-Player Co-op and most customizable Multi-Player Mode I have ever seen and still remains clean.!!! I can't wait to play some more.

I received my item, and It was nothing like the description said. The case was bent, and the CD was scratched and unreadable by my Xbox 360.

What can I say, this is one of the best first-person shooters I've played since Goldeneye for Nintendo 64 (yeah it's been that long). The campaign mode is awesome, and online play keeps you busy even if you beat the game ages ago. The music is great, environments are vast and detailed. Voice acting is top-notch. My only problem with this installment of Halo would have to be the annoying little spread added to the trusty BR and Carbine weapons seasoned veterans like to use. Also, newer additions to online play like more characters (brutes, hunters, flood, jackals, marines), armor variations, weapons, and vehicles would help increase variety.

Excellent game. Discs were scratched quite a bit in the center. Graphics were very realistic and detailed. It didn't allow multiple save points though.

i bought this for my 13 year old, because his old one was scratched beyond repair, I didn't want to pay retail price, since we had already bought one before, It was also nice to have the option of collector's edition, which I did not see at a retail store. price I paid was 1/2 of retail store cost. great value, new condition!

I decided to buy Halo 3 because I have enjoyed the entire series and it would finally make use of my xbox 360. I had originally planned on buying it when it first came out, but waited until this summer.

Once it came in the mail, I fired it up and was very impressed with the graphics. It is a joy to play, and my little brothers enjoyed watching me play it-- there are some scenic shots that are amazing.

The gameplay was very intuitive-- even better than the previous Halo's, and I love the addition of the inventory. The bubble shield, invisibility, trip mine and other items are a definite part of gameplay now.

The story itself was very interesting; it kept me playing longer than I wanted to, to get to the next level. My only complaint is that I hate fighting the flood, so the floodship was a horrible experience. Jumpy little guys, I basically ran through those levels and didn't enjoy it.

The part that I loved was the new vehicles and several levels made great use of them-- with large highways and plenty of space, you could ride around and fight for quite a while. It forces you to get really good with the different vehicles... the Warthog (requires a gunner) and ghost are back, but the Grunt's new vehicle is a lot of fun (and very risky!) as well. I really enjoyed the new flying vehicles and the levels that require them as well.

The only drawback, to me, is that by the end of the game, there were so many flood levels that I just wanted it to end. My personal preference would be to make the entire game like the beginning levels. Because of this, I usually replay the fun levels and skip the annoying ones, instead of playing it through again.


The good news is that the multiplayer in this game is awesome. Literally, awesome. I played with just my two little brothers for hours... the three of us could have a good time just running around killing each other repeatedly. Adding a network adapter and hooking to the internet would make it 10X more fun, or using a LAN hookup to get friends together. In a college dorm, this game (and friends that have it living nearby) is a definite reason to buy the xbox 360. It is a great way to have fun with friends-- when the original Halo came out, we would regularly get 4 xbox's together and between 12-16 players and battle it out instead of partying. Halo 3 improves everything that can be improved.

Glowing recommendation, I consider it the best game I have-- emphasis on the first time through the storyline, and as many times through multiplayer as time allows.

This game is really great. after you finish the campaign go to matchmaking and you'll be hooked. If you don't believe me try it for yourself

Great Xbox 360 game both for co op and multiplayer and the campaign in general. It is a good game all around. I am not a 360 fan boy by far, I actually am quite disappointed by Microsoft as of late and recently prefer to play games on my PS# due to Microsoft's failure rate which I have experienced 2 out of 3 of my consoles. This game is awsome. I have not gotten more than a couple hours of sleep over the last few days since I got it. Online play rocks as well.

LOVE THE MULTI PLAYER FOR ON LINE. THIS IS A GREAT GAME WITH LOTS OF ACTION AND THEN WITH THE EXTRA'S WAS A GOOD PURCHASE. HALO IS STILL ONE OF THE BEST GAMES IN TOWN. THE ONLY COMPLAINT, IS THE CAMPAIGN IS NOT LONG ENOUGH, HAS ONLY 9 MISSIONS.

Definently worth spending the extra buck. The whole two-disc feature is really cool with the hard case and all.

Everything is great except for a few scratches on the game disc due to it coming loose from the seat during shipping.

If you decide to purchase Halo 3 make sure not to get the Limited Edition version of the game. It comes in a tin case that doesn't hold the game in place. You can literally hear the game flopping around in the inside. I opened mine up and looked at the back of the game disc, and it looked as if someone had used the disc to play a game of skipping stones across a sidewalk. To my surprise the game still worked. I guess my refurbished 360 isn't half as bad as I thought.

I love this game! I play it everyday and it is awsome. So glad that I bought it! When I first got the game in the mail I was so excited to open it and start playing. Finally I did get to start playing and have been hooked ever since then. Thanks alot for the game.
