Halloween (DVD, 2003, 25th Anniversary Edition; Hi-Definition Transfer)

What else can you say about this movie.The music builds a lot of suspense and shows that you don't need a lot of gore to scare.

Donald Pleasence and Jamie Lee Curtis star in John Carpenter's 1978 horror classic about a killer stalking a group of teens and a Doctor who must stop him. The color timing on this dvd is a little different, it has made most people upset because it's not the same one one supervised by Director of Photography, Dean Cundey. Not to worry, picture is nice, sound is great and there's plenty of extras, which are the main thing here anyway. This 25th anniversary is recommended, but maybe someday we'll get a definitive version because it's been on dvd enough times.

it is what i ordered. It is the original GREAT Halloween. If you like good old scary movies that are classic i would recommend this movie

For any horror movie fan Halloween is the movie to own. This is the Halloween movie that started one of the greatest film series to date. Enojoy this original classic.

This is a great movie but i only had the regular edition this one is loaded with extra features. It's very hard to find in stores now so i decided to buy it online.

it;s easy to like 'halloween' because it;s so much fun to watch. What i liked a lot about this dvd is the very good special features that gives you a lot of information about the making of this movie and what John Carpenter's central theme of it is.

The "Halloween 25th Anniversary Edition" DVD is a great buy. It came packaged, brand new and is a total bargain. The movie has been "cleaned up" digitally so that the picture is clear and brilliant. There is an extra DVD of special footage explaining a lot about how this horror classic was made. An exceptional bargain and a great addition to any DVD library. Its well worth the $$ for the purchase, because of the clarity of the film and all the extra features. Its the disturbing images in the movie that provide the "scare" factor, along with the creepy music and over-acting teenagers. If you've never seen it you should. Its really scary.

Halloween is one of the greatest horror movies ever made and if you are thinking about buying a copy this version is definitely the copy to buy. With tons of special features; which any Halloween or Horror fan would love, you can't go wrong.
