
A great idea by an inspirational author, but...

I bought this book because I am a nurse practitioner who sees sick carnivores all day. Most of my patients eat meat, sugar, white flour, etc. and are sick most of the time. I know eating fresh fruits and vegetables is the best way to eat. I love the stories in the book. What I didn't like is the fact that it would be almost impossible for a working person to eat like that. I tried it for a while, but I found I really couldn't go out to eat. I mean, salad with no dressing only works for so long. The ideas are great, though, and what I particularly like about George is he suggests some cooked food at one meal a day. What I got from the book is that I should increase my fresh fruits, nuts, vegetables, seeds, etc. and avoid animal products. I have changed my eating that way. Overall I recommend it if you won't be too hard on yourself if you can't stick to it.
