Anne Perry's book offer a slice of the times in England's Victorian period. They offer insight into women's lib, sexual freedom divorce laws, etc for the period. Well written, they protray the period to perfection and are always interesting. The characters are alive and easy to relate to.

) Anne Perry writes British mysteries that are descriptive of the 1880 time period in London. The characters are interesting and very human. I like the way she weaves the story about the detective team of husband and wife. Both the Pitt stories and the Monk stores are great. I wish I had more left to read.
