I’m a big fan of the original movie so I could not wait for the BROADWAY version of the film.
Lets not talk about the movie.
I found this book so informative with lots and great photos If you a fan of the SATGE version you will love this book!

I decided to buy this item because my daughter is a theater major in college. She especially loves musicals. She also a big girl like Nicki, so she could really relate to the character. I've told her stories about the era of the civil rights movement, so she was really interested in this production. I saw this book on the list and just knew I had to buy it for her. Not only did she like the book, but it had the entire script with stage manager notes along with it. She was really happy about that, because that is the area of the theater she is working in now. It was perfect for her library. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I LOVE this book! Hairspray--The Roots is extremely entertaining. It contains loads of info and fun facts about Hairspray and how it came to be Broadways most fabulous show! The book is put together like a collage, and is really fun to look at. Hairspray addicts should not be without this book. I highly recommend!
