Haier HLT71 7 in. Portable TV

Great picture and receives 80 over the air stations (didn't know they had that many) but need better antenna than the one that comes with it. Sound is tinny but to be expected. Good to use as back seat monitor if your car comes with a dvd player in the front.

Great digital TV. Excellent picture and has all the right inputs. I use it as an auxiliary screen for my ICOM-7000 Transceiver (Ham Radio) and its a great addition to my station. I actually bought a second one to use in case of emergency as we live in a area that sees tropical storms. Highly recommended!!

I bought this TV for use in my kitchen where there is only a small area. It has a great picture for a small TV. I had trouble getting signals with the antenna that came with it so I bought a different antenna. Now it is fine. I would definitely recommend this product. It is well worth the reasonable price paid.

I bought it to keep me "entertained" while working on my website, uploading items, when especially my favorite tv programs are playing. IF you use it plugged into a cable box, it works divinely.

Initially I tried to use it pulling stations from the air, but could not achieve any stations, no matter how I oriented the antenna.

You MUST use this unit's remote to have it work properly as well.

Picture quality is excellent. Sound is rather low, but as my hearing is excellent, this is not a problem.

I bought this Portable Tv so that i may use away from home. The Design is great However when attempting to watch a certain channel it doesn't pick it up. Need to continue scanning until you get the channel,then you can't get the other channel.
Picture keeps on breaking up and freezes continously at times. I believe analog tv would be better.

This tv works well in my home area of Portland, Oregon because we are close to a lot of TV towers. It is not something you could use in the car, boat,etc. because the reception keeps changing.

For what I wanted it for it is great. It has a very nice picture but I wish the volume would get a little louder.

I bought this for my husband to take to work. He is a forman and was switched to night shift because of the down turn of the economy and now he misses the Sunday Night Football games,sooooooo he can sneak a peek at the game every so often, while he is working and on his lunch(his men like it too lolol).Best buy on Ebay.It works perfectly!

I live in an area prone to be visited by hurricanes. Prior to digital tv, I had a portable to use during power outages (storms) in order to see/keep up with what was happening. This tv was purchased for the same reason, along with a couple of others I have purchased for gifts. I love the fact that when I turn it on, the first channel it connects with is a local radar/weather channel. I did need to purchase ($9.99) a stronger antenna. The picture is very clear on this tv. I would recommend this tv to others.

Great little TV. This TV gets a great picture, gets all my local channels with the antenna. Perfect for what I wanted it for!!!

The picture quality is nice, but the tuner is not quite sensitive enough. I don't know if the sensitivity is under micro-cpu control; perhaps flashing a new program might fix the issue. It works better with an external antenna. When you consider I bought the TV for hurricane season when an external antenna may not be available, it may not serve my basic need. It skipped over local channels 12.1 and 34.4 and a few others. Is there any way to crank up the tuner sensitivity?

Excellent TV for stormy weather. Clear picture with reasonable reception with the right antenna. Recommend purchasing another antenna as the Haier antenna is inadequate

Unit delivers a sharp, nice picture. Reception with supplied antenna is poor! TV reception is acceptable when using a good fixed antenna or cable input. Do not expect to receive many channels when periodically relocating the TV using a portable antenna.

The Haier HLT71 7" Flat Panel LCD HDTV is a advanced hi-tech digital Television which has many applications, such as digital television reception, as a front door security CCTV monitor, or a vehicle back up camera automotive display.

With external inputs for stereo audio and video this is a very versatile wide screen device.

The users manual is lacking in technical detail and specifications, and the scanning and manual channel selection could be improved so one doesn't have to rescan the frequency spectrum at each new location. The unit is designed for OTA off the air digital and analog reception, but lacks compatibility for cable television channels, and does not have a QAM [Cable clear channel] tuner.

The Haier HLT71 has a bright, clear high definition screen for its size, with adequate onscreen controls for brightness, contrast, hue, color and other default settings. The unit includes a AC and DC 12VDC car power adapters, remote control, and a mono pole antenna removable antenna and standard "F" coaxial connector, and standard "RCA" connectors for input/output of Stereo audio and HD video.

After a negative experience with eBay seller "hastyrebel" selling a faulty unit that supposedly was checked working perfectly with no returns, as is, the Haier U.S. Customer support quickly replaced the sellers faulty unit with a new sealed factory unit which has been a pleasure to use, and has worked perfectly.

I'm very pleased with the performance, specifications, looks, and utility of this new digital/analog off the air portable flat panel rechargeable LCD widescreen Television and Monitor.

As a naturist and nudist I bought this unit to use when camping away from power sources at various nude and clothing optional resorts in anticipation of the change to U.S. OTA digital television transmissions June 12th, 2009.

I love my portable tv after I got a better atenna it works great. I got it for my lunch break and couldn't be happier.

The thing that I like about this tv is that it is small enough to sit on my desk, that is why I bought the tv is to use in my office. What I don't like about the tv is that my building is not wired for cable and even with the antena I can only get 1 station. I took it home to see if the reason I can only get 1 station was because I work out by the airport and at home I still could only get 1 station. When I hooked it up to cable at home I could get all the stations. So if your not going to use cable with this tv I don't suggest you buy this one.
