Album Notes This is part of Curb's Bocephus series. A typically fun Hank Williams Jr. album, HABITS, OLD AND NEW is actually not as celebratory of bad behavior as its title might suggest. For one thing, Williams' rowdy friends are nowhere in sight. The best song is the hilarious "Dinosaur," in which Hank wanders into a club where the band is singing about making love to the drummer. "Gay guitar pickers don't turn me on," he notes somewhat sadly, adding "do you happen to know any old Hank Williams songs?" They don't. Other highpoints include funky remakes of songs by his dad ("Kaw-Liga" and "Move it on Over"), Kris Kristofferson's in-your-face country-rock anthem "If You Don't Like Hank Williams," and Junior's own "Here I Am Falling Again," a beautiful basso love song that rivals Johnny Cash.
