HTC myTouch 3G (T-Mobile)

Probably the best phone I've ever had. I've used other smart phones based upon Windows Mobile as well as the Iphone.

The Android OS is extremely customizable and responsive. I don't have to wait for apps to load. An additional benefit for me as a programmer is that I can easily write my own app and integrate it into the system. (try that on an iphone)

I love the ability to hit the speak now on the search button and instantly speak what I'm looking for (eg. "Directions to Applebees") and it turns my words into text (Speech to text technology) and there is my search.

For use as a GPS device, you can't beat GPS + Google Maps. Add in Street View, Satellite view and you have one powerful GPS device.

App Store: Not only is the apps I want there, but there are multiple versions giving you the ability to pick and choose. You can easily find reviews on applications as well as the star rating to help you determine which app is right for you.

Camera: Strong camera, but I still prefer using a regular digital camera. I have a 12MP camera, why would I use one on my phone? However, I did take a few pictures on the phone to see how good the camera is and to be honest, it's best I've seen for a phone.

Video Viewing: No stutter at all on both videos stored on the device or from youtube.

On Screen Keyboard: I've typically stuck with phones with a built in full querty keyboard. This is the first time I choose a on screen keyboard. Took me a day or two to get used to and I like it.

Bottom Line: If you like Smart Phones, this is a good phone for you. If you're a programmer, I'd suggest this phone as well. If you are tired of being "punished" on the AT&T network by paying more just for using an IPhone.. this is a great phone. Also over the IPhone, Android supports multiple running programs at the same time.

PROs: Everything
CONs: Buy the black model. I'm not too keen on this white one

As a previously wireless retail seller for more than 6 years, I am writing this review in comparison to the BlackBerry Curve that I've been using for more than 2 years. With that said, I will certainly miss the applications available to myTouch since I plan on reselling it. I miss the "realtimeness" compared to the Blackberry. There are many free application downloads available to HTC's myTouch 3G, or the Android operating system for this matter. Google Sky Map is the coolest of all. By using GPS satellite positioning, it displays stars/planets coordinate information in real time by pointing to any direction. So after 3 weeks of use with myTouch 3G, here are the Pros and Cons listed below in my opinion:

Pros:

-Avaialbe Apps for the Android OS (Lots of free downloads)
-Fast 3G Network connection when 3G is availabe to my T-Mobile service
-Excellent resolution for video display and games
-OpenHome/AHome skins allow great customization flexibility
-Voice recognition system is fairly accurate in dectection of speech

Cons:

-Poor Battery Life (Must turn off 3G/Bluetooth/Wireless Location in order for the phone to last a full day of use)
-Emails can only be syncronized with server instead of push email
-No internet tethering feature
-OS performance can suffer from applications previously loaded or desktop icons (App Killer can fix this problem)

they were quick with their response time and timely with delivery. product in excellent condition. just wish there was an instruction book to come with the phone

I love it !!!! I just enjoy the phone i always wanted this phone. I find it to be the greatest phone around for tmobile. To have the power to make the phone yours ... its like you have to ability to show everyone who you are and make it show your personally for all to see !!!

fairly simple to use and figure out if new to smart phones. Biggest complaint wood be the keyboard itcan be hard to use if you have big hands

love the phone very easy to use and set up so many options can't wait to try everything the only drawback is sometimes using the keyboard my finger will hit the wrong key

Really cool phone. Does everything. I like the text messaging feature where it tracks you conversation. Although it's not the iphone it's a quality phone for the money.

I got a contract with Tmobile not too long ago and I bought a white Mytouch. I traded the Mytouch for the Iphone and I regreted the trade so bad. The Mytouch is way better than the Iphone.

I own both the Mytouch and the iPhone and they are phone awesome phones... but the mytouch is pretty decent if your are planning on getting one its worth it.

Very good phone everything works just great. I had an Iphone 3G before and even though multimedia works better and internet browser is friendlier to use this phone has one big advantage internet and e-mails works so much faster than on Iphone. Graphics are maybe not as good but phone works faster and is much more reliable so if you are in T-Mobile this is the phone you want. All applications I used on Iphone are also on this phone Notes, Youtube, E-mail, Weather, Nav, Browser,Google maps Etc.

I love this cell phone it is the best. It is so much better the the G1 in style and performance. And the price on ebay was just right.

Mytouch from HTC is really fun experience and very user friendly, much cheaper than Iphone and has similar applications in Iphone, I would recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy a PDA experience to purchase mytouch.
