The HP Surestore FC 1Gb/2Gb Switch 16B is a 16-port auto-sensing Fiber Channel fabric switch that delivers 1 Gb/s and 2 Gb/s connectivity in a 1U rack-mountable enclosure. Designed to address the rigorous reliability, availability, and scalability demands of enterprise customers, this high-performance FC switch is standards-based interoperable with HP's installed base of Fiber Channel products. New features include Advanced Performance Monitoring, a port-by-port look at performance; ISL Trunking, for load balancing and availability; Fabric Watch, for monitoring and reporting; WEB TOOLS, for configuration and management; Zoning, for higher security; Extended Fabrics, for SAN connectivity up to 120 km; and Remote Switch, for ATM connectivity. The base product Switch 16B comes standard with WEB TOOLS, QuickLoop, Zoning, and Fabric Watch. This model is field-rackable.
