HP PhotoSmart M525 6.0 Megapixel

At first glance this is a wonderful camera, it makes amazing pictures, has wonderful photo editing software & is SO easy to use! Plus it's made by a company with a great reputation! So why did I give it a poor rating? Because after 14 days of normal use & absolutely no damage to it on my part, it just stopped working. After trying every troubleshooting tip supplied by HP & contacting HP for help directly, I took it to a camera shop that specializes in repair of digital cameras. I was told that this particular camera comes in for repair more than other. It was going to cost more than I paid for it to fix. This camera was brand new sealed in the box when I bought it on ebay, so the seller had no obligation to refund my money, nor would I ask them to this problem was not their problem! HP's policy for the warrenty is that you have a dated store receipt, so because I bought it on ebay, my receipt was invalid. Ultimately, I had to purchase a new camera (the lady at that store alos informed me that they too had had all kinds of returns for the M525, they no longer carry it due to that fact!). The second camera I got is 7.1 megapixels & a different brand, the pictures are not as good & it's not as easy to work, but at least I know it's better quality (I've had a month already without any problems)! So the bottom line is DO NOT BUY THE HP M525! Hp makes great cameras, but if you have to have one, try a different model!

I love my new camera! I had a Kodak for the past three years that was a 2MP. I liked that camera for 4x6 photos, but decided that it was time to upgrade. I did a lot of research and bought the M525 with the Photosmart printer 385. I love this camera. The features are easy to use and it is very small and compact. I would definatly tell all my friends and family about this camera.

I bought this as a gift for my expecting daughter (selfishly so that I could have pictures sooner of my first grandchild). I never really saw the camera myself as it was in the original packaging, but I've read that the viewing area is a little on the small side (1.7"). My daughter is an amateur photographer, (she's had some schooling in it) and always said that she didn't like digital cameras, but she sure seems to be doing well with this one and I haven't heard one single complaint about it, so it must be fine. The pictures I've received all seem clear and sharp (camera or photographer?). I personally have a Kodak digital system and haven't worked with the HP, but I'm sure they are very similar and one is probably as good as the other when you get right down to it. It's just a matter of personal preferences. Based on what I've seen and not heard, I'd have to give this one an excellent rating.

Since I bought my Hewlett Packard Media Center PC, I decided that any hardware added to this computer, would be HP also. When my printer died, I went out and purchased the HP PSC 2350 All In One printer. I love it. Now, I'm wanting to list some items on ebay, so naturally I start checking out the ebay auctions, and find a NIB HP Photosmart M525 6.0. I bid, I win, I'm sorry. I had researched the product on the HP website and liked the ease of use and the 6.0 megapixel quality. During the research, there was no mention of the incompatibility with the all in one printers, I found that out after installation of the camera and software.
After installation, my computer started acting up. Freezing up, shutting down, until it shut down and wouldn't boot back up. When it would come back on, all I got was the windows loading screen, over and over again. I had to perform a system recovery on the computer and lost all my files. Needless to say, I was quite upset with the whole ordeal, and I visited the HP website again and did the online chat. That is how I found out about the compatibility issues.
Although that has all been straightened out, and the camera is easy to use, I am very disappointed with the overall photo quality or editing software.

I love the HP camera we use it at work all the time writing up operation manuals. Its an all around good camera. We needed one for the house if you have kids you have to have a camera. This one can download to you computor and even came with its own printer which made it that much more better deal. The shipping on this camera was very qwick and set is very easy. All around very pleased. I cant think of any dislikes about the camera or the purchase. I give it an A1.

Works great. No problems. Easy to use. Great Video. Hope to get some more on ebay for gifts for my family.

Pros:
1. cheap, this is the reason i notice this camera. ebay is selling this much cheaper than officedepot, staples.
2. easy to use. this camera is very easy to setup. with the internal memory i can take several pictures after a few secs i put in the battery.
3. the picture is good, some how even better than my old canon a70.
Cons: the power button is not so easy to push.
Summary: very good camera i can find on ebay around 120 bucks.

Works great. No problems. Easy to use. Great Video. Hope to get some more on ebay for gifts for my family for christmas.

I have not had the opportunity to use the camers as much as I would like to. However I have found it to function quite well. I really have only one negative concerning the camera. I find the on/off button to be lacking. I seem to have problems with it. I am aware the problem could be with the operator and not the camera. The pictures I have taken have turned out really good. So, all in all the camera is a buy that I do not regret. My previous digital camera we want talk about except to say I want go there again.

I love this camera. It takes great photos. The price was very good also. You can srt it for huge pics. Change the settings and have email pics that send faster. Wonderful quality!

The camera is easy to use Just point and shoot.
i have not had any problems with the camera.It seams to be a good camera.

for my Home , It's possible to document pretty times ,very Successful company & and the price is very attractive.

I love my HP camera, it takes great pictures, I found the easiest way to deal with the Battery issue is to buy rechargable batteries. All in all it's very easy to use, my 8 yr old son whose Autistic can even take pictures with ease on this camera.

i like my new hp camera. the picture quality is good. the lcd screen shows the pictures just the way that they will print. my favorite feature is the automatic editing and lighting. i'm not an expert and when i dont know what the setting should be, the camera does it automatically. i'm glad that i made my purchase.

High quality pictures, easy to use, great price. I like the somewhat concealed "on/off" switch because you can't turn it on unintentionally and use up batteries. Uses batteries pretty quickly but I guess that's typical of digitals. Display screen is kinda' small but all in all, I really like this camera.

I bought a new hp camera model M525 6 megapixel and it was a good purchase that I made, because of the quality and the price.

What I dislike was that I want an original leather case for my hp and memory enough for many photos.

I recomended e-bay !!!

Used it for Mothers day and a graduation came in handy it was convient for me to use, since my camera phone can only do the upclose events , this was a deal. no more to add

This is the 2nd Canon M525 I've bought. The first one went to Japan with me and susuently went out of commission when it was dropped from a sizaable distanec. however, I have a great history with the thing, so I bought a repalcement and loved it now (and am more careful). Its a good casual consumer camera, eats battery a little fast, and take pretty good pictures for the size, price, and specs.

HP is a great camera, I had a 3.2 HP and wanted to upgrade. This is a 6.0 Megapixel so I can take and make the pictures bigger when they are printed with good quality and it came with the printer to do just that.
I am very happy with the full purchase, all the items are in the box which is complete no need to purchase batteries, a memory card, paper or ink it is all there.

It is the first digitial camera I have had; I purchased it for family photos.
I really like the easy instructions on it. So far I have no dislikes about the product. It is great!
