HDScape Sampler (Blu-ray Disc, 2007)

I bought it for my shop where we use it on PS3 to show people what HD quality means for plasma and LCD screens. Very good menu, highest quality, nice background music and good possibilities like repeating one title or entire disc accessible from the front menu.

This is a collection of segments of other Blu-rays not woth buying - basically a bunch of commercials for other products. Stupid me - I paid money for it. Please don't waste your money too.

This is a great DVD to show the full features of a great TV. I am glad I got this. Great scenery, pictures and I love the fireplace scenes. They make you all warm and cozy inside. Blu-ray is the way to go for movies. I would definitely recommend this to others.

Great DVD to show Blu-ray quality picture on the LCD's & Plasma TV's @ my shop! No need to restart or adjust DVD player to repeat; as the movie continually repeats itself. Perfect sample or display DVD.

To see the quality of my tv on dierents panoramic sence
this lu ray also have good sound and have diferents pictures or sence of invaroment like fire water and skys

I bought the Hdscape sampler and immediately put it in the blue ray player when it arrived. The content is great, unfortunately the different segments are not quite what I expected. I would recommend buying the full disc instead of the sampler disc.

Very good for sampling various 1080p offerings. Audio great also. Worth the little money they cost. Covers incredible nature to racing boats and a lot more.
Would be suprised if anyone can't find something to be impressed with on the disk.
Great Blu-Ray test for various players to see when you go shopping how well the different players stack-up.

not worth spending money on it, small segments of high quality boring videos, poor editing, any good bluray movie should be more than fine to demo your system

This is a very relaxing and beautiful Blu-ray Disc. It will go from one scene to the next to keep the different venues (fireplace, sea creatures, landscapes, and oceans etc.) going. I keep playing it in the background and even without watching it, it is calming and the music is lovely.

I bought this item on eBay because it was a little cheaper than local stores. It has 8 different featured locations. I particularly liked Antarctica and the Southwest sections. They are all really nice, and look terrific on my Samsung 1080p HDTV. This item is a great way to show off the awesome, crystal clear definition of a Hi-Def TV. Sometimes TV channels aren't clear, pure 1080, and movies can switch scenes too fast to get a good view of your HDTV's impressive clarity. This item allows you to get prolonged, slowed-down views of beautiful landscapes and wildlife that let you appreciate that big investment. Buy it - you'll love it. The segments on this sampler are not too short, but they are just samples of each. I didn't time them, but they're maybe 7-10 minutes (approx). The Antarctica section is narrated. I really like this item. If I want a quick way to show friends the real difference in my HDTV and their standard definition - I pop this in. They're blown away!

For a couple of bucks, you can't beat it. The fireplace is weird, but the Sea and aquarium are cool, as is Hawaii and Antartica. Spinny!

Nice background effect, if not exactly an aquarium. Several different scenes

This is a good sampler to choose from eight different Blu-ray HD discs. Some are better than others. The sampler allows you to choose some of the better, high-definition ones, such as Antarctica and Deep Sea, and avoid some of the lower-quality titles like the Fireplace one, the Aquarium one, and the boring Hawaii one.

worth every pennie

I bought this to show off my new 1080P TV. DVD was great as I expected! Each sample could be a little longer but you can set it to loop for continuous play.
Great picture and sound!

The pictures and sound are brilliant. The first title i saw was the aquarium and it was just stunning. i don't need a real saltwater aquarium anymore....pictures are just realistic. Blu ray and 1080p combo is fantastic.

Essentially this disc is a sampling of 8 full-length discs/movies you can buy. I'm really glad I got this disc. I was close to pulling the trigger on the fireplace and aquarium discs, but after watching the sampler, I know to stay away from the full versions.

The fireplace footage wasn't what I expected. I thought I would get video of various fireplaces that would make your flat panel look like the real thing along with some great audio of the fire crackling. Instead it included camera panning from left to right, various fire close-ups and even background music. Yuck.

The type of footage in the aquarium video was very similar to the fireplace. It included fish and coral close-ups, panning and zooming and even "not-so-serene" predatory feeding. My girlfriend didn't like watching the little fiddler crab getting snatched up by the puffer fish. Anyhow, I was really hoping it was going to turn my 62" DLP TV into a virtual aquarium. No dice.

The rest of the videos were very much like what you could see on Discovery HD anytime during the week. Nice quality, but they weren't really special at all.

Very cool sampler Blu- ray disc. Back of case offers customers with other blu-ray choices. highly recommended for the HD enthusiast.

Perfect disc to have on repeat when entertaining. The video is stunning and there is a nice soothing sound to go along with the slide shows. Definitely worth adding to the collection!
