The Guru (DVD, 2003)

I've got this on both video and DVD.It's an okay movie,but it can sometimes get bogged down in it's own racism and sexism which was probably why it wasn't a big hit at the box office.The story centers around a young,Middle Eastern Indian man who leaves his family to go to America to find fame and fortune.When he gets there he finds that the streets aren't paved with gold and one of his first jobs is starring in a porn movie with the lovely Heather Graham(who obviously has a thing for porn since she starred in "Boogie Nights").Ms. Graham doesn't appear nude,but looks quite sexy in red lingerie.Anyhow,the Indian guy doesn't end up with the part and eventually becomes a guru(hence the title)who counsels people on their sexuality.You'd think with that premise that there'd be more nudity in this film,but unfortunately there isn't.The film also features Marisa Tomei,who,although is beautiful,isn't nearly as sexy as Heather Graham.Bottom line-buy it to see Heather Graham in sexy lingerie.

The Guru is super funny! Jimi Misti and Heather Graham have great on screen chemistry and comedic timing! Great date movie. Not a family movie. Great musical score.

I like the movie very much because it's a comedy. Very entertaining. The
actors (even do I don't know him well) is good, but specially Heather
Graham which I like most of her movies.

This movie is fricken hilarious. I recommend it to anyone with a sense of humour. I wish it had more of a musical theme to it but the few songs they do are awesome.

The movie is very funny. It really reflects what each immigrant feels when they come to America, and how fast their dreams are trashed by reality. I loved the movie, and I really recommend other to watch it.

I think this is a a super funny movie to watch. and there ain't nothing i don't like about it. i decided to look on here because i couldn't find it at any store around.

i love this movie, my copy was not watchable anymore, i purchased because the item was priced right . i recieved it very quickly and then watched it, the quality is great. i will buy from this seller again.

This movie is so funny I love it!!!!!!!The actor in it is perfect and the dance that he does is awesome. He is in love with a porn star that is with a boyfriend which is a weird predicament. He tries so hard to not try to get with her but he cant help it.

this movie is one of the best movies you should have.. it is about an indian guy who moves in to the USP and is looking for a job as a dancer.. but in the end .. he..well.. you'll find out.. it is a cute and musical movie!!

I thought that the actors in this movie were funny. Marissa Tomei helped to make the movie. I missed it at the movies and have wanted to see it and decided to buy it when it was being sold on eBay.

This movie is hysterical we happened to come upon it one day while channel surfing on a snowy day and had to have it in our video collection. Very funny - definately for adults.

The innocent dance instructor guy from India, totally turned out in America. He gets rich quick in America with the wisdom words from a porn star. It is a very very funny movie. I bought it because I started watching, it at work, on my lunch break and never got to finish it. Very worth the watch!
