Gunslinger by Stephen King (2003, Hardcover, Prebinding)

This saga starts here and I must admit is slow but keep in mind he wrote it many years ago when he was new writer. As you move into the next book it picks up alot and gets you hooked. You will get to know each main character and grow to love them. By the time you get about half way through the third book you will start skimming just so you can get to the next book. This as I said is a must have as this series is his pride and joy.

Don't know if the book is good because I brought it for my son who has the entire Dark Tower collection. He says it's a fantastic read, one of Stephen King's best.
