Gun Digest Book of the AR-15 by Patrick Sweeney (2007, Paperback)

While this book is a good one, it's just a notch below the volume 1. Still a good source for things AR, it lacked the pertinent data I really liked about volume 1. This book reviews more of the current AR goodies and variants that have come out for the AR-15 in the last 3 years. Still recommended reading, especialy if it's on sale for less than list. Sweeney's an old Fart like myself, so I appreciate his humor. Good pics to go along with good writing. If you are an AR fan, youll like reading more about this great weapon.

Both Vol I and Vol II of the Gun Digest Book of the AR-15 are excellent sources of information. They cover all aspects of owning, shooting, and maintaining these type rifles. The review of each company producing AR-15s is detailed and pulls no punches on the good and bad of each one. The sections on accesories and modifications are also well detailed. I highly recommend both of these books to anyone that owns an AR-15.
