Guitar Method in the Style of ZZ Top (DVD, 2004)

A Typical Curt Mitchell " In the Style of " series DVD covering ZZ Top this time around. Bits and pices of riffs played fast then slowed down a bit. He does go into useing the SLIDE on the guitar quite a bit on this one, which was nice. As I watch more and more of these DVDs from Curt Mitchell I cant help but only wish the guy would come up with his OWN DVDs covering songs ALL THE WAY THROUGH... hes a brillient player and I love to listen to Curt talk about all sorts of gear and styles, but the short , choppy riffs are just NOT ENOUGH ... REMEMBER, these are NOT dvds showing how to play FULL SONGS... Only VERY short little pieces of Riffs. Buy accordingly.

I, for one, and this is only the opinion of a person who has been playing guitar for 42 years, feel that for the amount of money paid, the product did not contain enough info. Only one backing track, if you're not into "Looking For Some Tush" pass on this one...It has a few licks of other songs, but it mainly concentrates on this cut from ZZ...Granted the guy IS GOOD, but it could have contained, more info.
