Best known for his touring work with the Razormaid & Bangalore Choir, Curt Mitchell also devotes much time to helping musicians master the playing styles of their musical heroes. In this instructional program, Mitchell helps guitar players of all levels attain Ted Nugent's fierce sound. Mitchell breaks down Nugent's style step by step, explaining the rocker's techniques one riff at a time. Tight shots and close-up camera angles capture Mitchell simulating Nugent's technique in detail. By playing the songs "Great White Buffalo," "Dog Eat Dog," "Free For All," "Street Rat," and "Cat Scratch Fever" at varying speeds, Mitchell illustrates lessons in soloing, amp and effect settings, and how to obtain a decidedly Nugent sound. GUITAR METHOD IN THE STYLE OF TED NUGENT also includes on-screen tablature, and full band trax for students to practice with on their own. While the lessons here may help guitarists sound like Ted Nugent, Nugent does not make an appearance in or have any connection to the actual program.
