Guitar Hero. Its the title that most people who love rock music wish to attain someday. In November of 2005 a company called Red Octane launched a game named Guitar Hero which let us faithful rock fans feel like they were indeed a hero of rock. Now in April of 2007 that very same company has re-released the sequel to the original Guitar Hero onto the Xbox 360. Lets get down to the nitty gritty here...what you people came here to find out about the game.
Gameplay: 10/10
Guitar Hero 2 features simple gameplay. A fretboard scrolls towards the screen and notes of five different colors (green, red, yellow, blue, and orange) move towards the bottom. The player must press the corresponding fret button on the neck of the guitar and the strum to play the note. With each 10 successful notes played the guitarist attains the next level of multiplier(x4 max) although a missed note causes the players multiplier to diminish back to zero. Continuing to miss notes will cause the players rock meter or health meter to deplete. Once it reaches zero the player fails the song and must start over. Certain starred notes will give the player star power which they can activate to double their current multiplier(x8 max) and lasts until their meter runs out.
Non-bonus songs are sorted into 8 sets. If a player can manage to pass their required number of songs without failing three times they are granted the chance to perform an encore song that is usually harder than the rest of the songs in the set. This song isn't required to advance but usually provides a lot of fun.
Graphics: 9/10
The graphics in the 360 version aren't the best of the 360 but are far superior to the PS2 version. Characters look far more realistic and the strings can even be seen on the characters guitar. Lighting effects are very good and the animations of the characters, even the rest of the band. are very fluid and practically perfect.
Sound: 10/10
Being that this is a game entirely based around playing music the sound is absolutely superb. Most of the songs in the set lists are covered by other artists. The cover artists have performed very well and the songs sound very similar to the original artists. The bonus songs are performed by their original artists so they sound like perfect reproductions.
Replay Value: Very high
Due to this being a music and rhythm game players will want to go back and keep achieving higher scores on their favorite songs and even be able to beat those songs on higher difficulties. The multiplayer aspect of the game adds a whole new reason to keep playing.

Buy or Rent? Buy it if you can afford the price-tag of $90...otherwise try to rent it or borrow it from a friend

Guitar Hero II
The PS2 mega hit comes to Xbox 360 with more reasons to rock than ever before.
Everyone should own a Guitar Hero game. If you haven't played it yet, you really don't know what you're missing. The music rocks. Playing with a guitar shaped controller rocks. Jamming with a friend rocks. Did we mention that the game rocks? Everything from the presentation to the gameplay in Guitar Hero II is universally appealing. If you haven't already played Guitar Hero II on PS2, this is a must own game. Even if you already have done all of this before, you may yet find a reason to grab the Xbox 360 re-release. With reworked graphics, sound, new songs, downloadable content and more, this is easily the best Guitar Hero game yet.

I bought the guitar hero II for xbox 360.for my son.It was and excellent used condition,very clean and take care for the price.My son was so happy when he received the guitar hero II xbox 360.we been looking for this guitar and did't find it.The game has very nice songs,also and very used condition,it worth the price even if you have to pay for a new guitar hero II xbox 360.I'd recommend this set of Guitar Hero II Xbox 360 and Game.For any body

Seller Does Not RESPOND!!!I Have purchased an item from the user goldstar-gaming. After purchasing, I started to viewed the Item description again, suddenly, I see an outline that claims the user does not ship to Canada, hence I have already won the auction, I was confused and sent questions to the user. However the user does not reply any of my emails therefore I started to look at his feedbacks of previous buyer and I saw many negative feedbacks that had a problem identical as mine. Also!!, there were feedbacks that stated the items were broken. To absolute give a review of this user, I do not think he is a trustworthy seller, and have many flaws in his items that he needs to make up!!

) I like the songs it has all kinds of good 80's songs.
I also like the xplorer guitar that came with my bundle very easy to use.
I dont like that there is no story line to it really at all.
They need to make it a story line type game like THPS 4 or even like NFS games but they didnt thats the only thing i really dont like about this game

good but keep readingMost of the songs are a bit slower then anyother level. If you can play expert on this game you usually can play hard on the other games. But i still like guitar hero, they need to get a better selection of songs. i am soooo tired of the lame songs that someone picks. they need to do a poll or something similar to that.

guitar hero 2 bundled with guitar and gameI love the fact that it came to me quickly and packaged and shipped in a very professional manner. The only ding I can give it is that, I knew it was an open box return from a major retailer so taking a chance on everything working as it should did not pan out. The game was in perfect shape, guitar and also sticker were never applied all the sillica packs in the box, but the wammy bar on the guitar did not function as it should. The rest of it did just fine. My guess is that is why it became an open box return. This will be an easy fix and do not regret the purchase in any way. I will be looking at this seller for other purchases in the future.

The Xbox 360 version of this game gives only a handful of new stuff compared to the ps2 version. The new songs are great as well as the downloadable content....which is only OK because they're guitar her I songs....and they're not really cheap but they come in packs of 2 or more per download. The graphics are slightly better. Overall....not worth getting if you've exhausted the ps2 version.

Not as good as guitar hero 3, no battle with other bosses, no online playability, not the best songs, but when you run out of guitar hero 3 songs to play, this satisfies the craving for $20!!

Fun Game just wish my fingers worked betterWell had heard all the talk and decided to take the plunge. Have enjoyed the game, but wish the next step up, wasn't so difficult. Don't plan on jumping levels quickly if your not used to the Guitar.

Guitar hero 2 is excellent!I absolutely love this game for lots of reasons. One being that it has a great selection of song tracks such as (Warrant Cherry Pie) & (Motley Crue Shout At The Devil)! That's just some to mention. Beautiful graphics and cool unlockables as well!

It is ok I bought it basically for the Guitar. I have Guitar Hero III and wanted another Guitar to play around with. As for the Guitar Hero II the songs stink and more thank 1/2 no one ever heard of. But that is for all of the hero's they need to use more popular songs or at least popular bands.
