The track list for this game, along with the original recordings (including the reunited Sex Pistols!) is a must have. You will get lost in involvement when playing this game. This is one of the best soundtracks in a game to date.

Gameplay – 9/10
Though under new “ownership”, Activision has taken this game this game down a similar road, but with a new car. With slight improvements in the display hud, the notifications of streaks, and the “star power” activators easier to get, this game is fun. Plain and simple.

Replay Value - 10/10
When you see the achievement list, it will make you achievement “gatherers” play this game again and again to get the full 1000/1000. Plus with the addition of online multiplayer, content downloads, and competitive play – it will hard not to play this game over and over. This is a worthy sequel.

Overall - 9/10
Able to play this game early, there are a few new tweaks to the actual gameplay, and it feels a bit easier to play (except some of the very final songs), but this game follows the old saying “if it ain’t broke – don’t fix it”. The song list, along with the new guitar, is stellar. With all the original, or master, tracks that are in this game, it is hard not to enjoy this game if you are a fan of rhythm or music games.

The new wireless “Gibson” guitar is heavier, more durable, and the closest thing to a real guitar peripheral that I have felt. I must say that this is a nice controller, and I did not want to put it down. I applaud Activision’s attention to detail. I highly recommend this bundle.

The highly successful Guitar Hero franchise rolls out with the best one yet.
The visuals, story(yes there actually is one!) and choice of songs could not be better. Activision does not sacrifice itself by including better known songs in place of the lesser (but better) songs that simply rock. Some Guitar Hero purists may be dissapointed by the fact that the timing is much easier but as they progress they will realize that this is actually the most challenging GH yet. The guitar riffs are amazingly fun and only the truly masterful will be able to beat this game on Expert without weeks of playing.

Co-op is also included as is an online head-to-head, and the boss battles (you heard correctly) are extremely exhilarating.

Don't miss out on one of the greatest games of the seasons. GH 3 is a must have!

Make no mistake. This is the most exciting and compelling release yet in the franchise that made music games a household experience. With more original recordings in place for many of the great songs in rock, Guitar Hero III delivers an incredible song list, even if more casual listeners may not recognize every tune that comes their way. New modes of play add some cool new variety to the mix. Vibrant and colorful visuals leap off the screen, drawing players even more into the rock star fantasy. Only a few confounding choices as to the handling of unlockable music and party-style gameplay keep this from rocketing into the heights of guitar nirvana.

My first experiences with guitar hero have been disappointing. Not because of the product but my lack of skill. But my girlfriend on the other hand thinks its the greatest thing since corn covered hot dogs on a stick. Like i said im no good at GH3. But I feel its an interesting concept. My kids love it, my girl loves it. And if they're happy im happy.

I originally had GHIII for PS2 and literally played the game until around 10-15 songs became unplayable. I decided to buy GH3 for my 360 at that point and LOVED IT! First of all the game looks SO much better and smoother. The wireless control has NO lag unlike my PS2 counter-part and the controller itself plays a lot softer and wont sound like ur tapping a stick on plastic when you are hitting those solos.

The game is fun, but graphics are cartoonish. Game play seems a bit harder then Rock Band so a little more challenging. Rock band out preforms this game even with out the drums, Bass and Mic. This is a great game to pick up cheap (under $20) but not worth spending $50 for. Oh and the Rock Band Guitar is NOT PLAYABLE on this game (yet my Guitar Hero guitar works on my Rock Band). Over all a good game, but if your comparing to Rock Band and your only gonna buy one...buy Rock Band.

I think GH3 is alot of fun. However I feel there should be a little more depth to this game. I had never played this game until I bought it and I beat it in less then one day (im not a gamer i play video games on average of less than 2 hours a week). I was playing on the easy setting but still I feel there should be twice as many songs. I think there is 40 something, songs available to play however at 2-3 min a song that is really not very much game play at all (like 2.5 hours at the most). It seems that this game would be relatively easy to produce compared to complex games like Halo. With a price tag of $100.00+ this game should have many more songs and maybe some depth to the story line. In addition to more songs it would be cool if the things that you can buy in the store would effect game play, (i.e. if you buy a expensive guitar in the game it would be cool if it gave you advantages, instead of simply being a graphic). All in all I like GH3 but I think it is slightly overpriced for what you get.

My child wanted this product more than anything. I was nagged and bugged day in and day out. I gave in and bought this $99.00 dollar rock and roll toy.
I had a little buyers remorse prior to the arrival. The UPS man didn't even make it out of the truck befor my son got to him. Now we needed two AA batteries. My son quickly called a friend and told him about the Guitar hero emergency. Two batteries arrived within minutes. Two very happy boys played hours in the basement. This is a fantastic toy. The background when the music is paying is a little too dark for my taste. I do not like the giant in the background. My son says that can be changed. We'll do it in the am.
This toy gives me great power. My son knows he has to do well in school or no
play time. Homework has to be done or no Hero. Life is good. I tried to play but I am not good at it yet. It can be addicting. It is well worth the money

Theres only one emotion I had when I bought this item, . . . Love. I wanted to buy this item because of all the ad's and the comments my friends told me about it, I had to try it out, so I bought it. When I received this item, i was freaking out in joy. Not only did I receive it in no problem, the shipping was INCREDIBLY fast. I ripped out the package (Neatley) and immediatley noticed that the order was in mint, MINT condition, no dents, bumps or scrape marks, no nothing on the items inside, and the box. This meant to me that my seller cares for the things he sells. If this seller ever sells an item again that interests me, im all over it. I dont express myself much on ebay, but I just have to write a review towards this seller, TYVM for selling me this mint condition item for a price only a mad man could refuse. I bought it for my son for Christmas. It was a very hard item to find during the holiday shopping season, especially the wireless item like this one. Ebay came through and had some up and I found a great deal and a great seller. My son had me try the game on Christmas and now I am hooked as well. A fun game with no guns and warfare. Fun to laugh at as it is confusing enough for me to work three fingers and not five key on the guitar. Of course, the kids have a good handle on the game.

I have never picked up a Guitar Hero game before I got this one. I was hooked from the first song. Having never played before, and easy being way too easy, I played through it on medium. No problem really except the boss battles. This was a dumb part on their behalf since they didn't include it in the previous titles. At first they were too hard for me and at one point I got so frustrated because I couldn't beat them. Not a problem except you cannot continue until you beat them. After a day or two I was finally able to beat them. Personally I would have rather just keep on playing songs. This really brought the game to a crawl for me. Since then I have been working my way through hard and expert difficulties. If it wasn't for the boss battles this would be a 5 star game. This of course got me hooked and I went out and bought 2 copies of Rock Band so I didn't have to lug my instruments to peoples houses. Rock Band is a different story all together!!!

My son loves the wireless guitar. The stickers that come with the guitar are really great. The detachable face plate is also a great feature. Guitar Hero III has a lot better graphics than Guitar Hero II, more realistic. The song list is awesome. Highly recommend this game, you will like it better the I or II.
