Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (Playstation 3)

Overall this game receives about a 6/10. Let's break it down...

Graphics - 6/10
Come on...I can see bumpers smashing in racing games, more blood than I care to see in shooter games, and even chocolate bubbling in the pond in a children's game... and I can't get better graphics than this for my favorite XBox 360 game? Better luck on Guitar Hero 4. The one improvement I have enjoyed is the better display hud (your score).

Sound – 10/10
Some of the songs aren't the greatest sound quality (like Boston) but the sound is as good as Guitar Hero predecessors. Overall the track list was top notch. I'd love to see some more popular songs for some of my less savvy classic rock friends, but overall the music is great and will keep you rocking all night long.

Judging this game against Guitar Hero 1 and 2, it is a better game and worthy of a sequel. However, judging it against the new Rock Band... it loses some appeal because Rock Band offers more options for more people (mic and drums). If you're looking for a game that will give you awesome songs, lots of fun for all skill levels, and a 4-player mode, you should go with Rock Band. (note: the Rock Band guitar sucks so you'll want to use a Guitar Hero guitar)

The new wireless Gibson guitar that comes in the Guitar Hero 3 package is a must have. It's a little easier to hold than previous guitars, I think the buttons are slightly easier to use, and although I thought being wireless might affect some play I can't notice any lag or difficulties.

Excellent game... looking forward to a sequel.

This is a fun game for a group of people. Use it as a Party game. I do not play this game when I am by Myself.

It was easy enough for a 7 yr old to learn and he will not get off of it. He has played it nonstop since it has arrived at our front door. I must say the chioce of songs are pretty good for legends of rock. I have enjoyed listening to them.

I bought this game for my wife's birthday and she absolutely loves it! I enjoy playing it very much as well, even though it is not my style of music. The game is easy to manuveur through and good graphics. I thought that they could have had better transition from easy to medium but that is just me. Once you leave easy level it gets very tricky and you need fast fingers and above average hand-eye coordination. I recommend this game to anyone who likes music or someone looking for a different venue in gaming.

Was addicted to this game, thanks to my brother. Put off buying it for too long. Now that I have it, and everything is working perfectly, I am glad that I did. This game is great, and with the Sony Playstation Store downloads to add on to the already awesome list of tracks, it is a A+ perfect game. Can't wait to add some more songs.

Great game. Be prepared to be addicted and develop some serious finger dexterity. I found the game to be a work out, both my wife and I play it all the time.

The game itself has a great career mode, The songs are great, they have some older songs, and even some new songs from snipknot. The career mode is very fun, you start off jamming in a backyard, after completing the required amount of songs, a agent approaches you, and your off to bigger and better things. There are some neat boss battles. The hardest bye far is the last one! The only thing about this game, is that is very short. You can beat it so fast. Now, because of that, I would say its a rent, but, It has much replay value, its great for parties, and everyone enjoys gamming out to there favorite song. So next time your having a party and want something fun to do, whip out guitar hero 3, and blow your guests away! Its a BUY after all!

pretty good game. song list is pretty good. rock band is better but the guitar hero guitar is better than rock bands. trust me i own both. guitar heros guitar is more responsive and easier to handle. When on expert level the bosses can get nearly impossible. all in all a good game for the newbie or the guitar hero veteran.

The 'green' button doesn't always work, which makes playing the game difficult. Seems to be a manufacturer's defect. The defect in the guitar causes miscues in the game. It's still operable, which is why it hasn't been returned, but getting a really high score is next to impossible when you have to hold a 'green' note.

It's a great game period. What else can you say? Improved graphics, wireless Guitar, you can play it for hours. Also you can customize you guitar with stickers and faceplates.

This game is essential, I think, to the success of a console. It's a game that people of all ages can enjoy. It's very addicting and has everything a music lover could want in a game.

My son just had to have Guitar Hero III but I didn't want to drop 100 bucks on a fake guitar so we bought a used one on eBay. Let me tell you - my whole family just loves Guitar Hero including myself. I am now looking for a second guitar because my son doesn't like to share. We will probably never actually learn anything about a real guitar by doing this but it sure feels like we are rocking with the best. We caught on to the easy level pretty quickly as it only uses three buttons. We managed to unlock all of the tunes in about three days. Medium level is much, much more challenging but my son seems to do pretty good on medium. I would definitely recommend purchasing this bundle it is the most fun that I have had on the PS3 thus far. My only complaint is that sometimes the buttons on the guitar seem to have a slight delay. In other words I know that I hit my notes on time but the game doesn't think so. This may be caused by a few things - weak batteries; the wireless sensor not always picking up the guitar; or maybe the guitar has a minor defect (hince the opened package that was sold on eBay). The delay of the guitar does not take away from the fun of playing the game - it kind of makes it more fun.

Great game!!! The graphics are cool and Slash and Morello look cool. Great songs, although some are pretty bland, I wold have chosen "harder tracks". The higher levels are also pretty difficult, or it could just be me. Overall, its a really great game!

the seller was a fraud and he stole my money. luckily, pay pal was able to refund me. But the waiting period is rediculous!!! Especially when ebay de-activates the account but still makes me wait the 10 day period! Can that be changed?

The only thing I do not like about the guitar hero is that the graphics on the video are not kid friendly. There are half naked neon light pole dancers in the background of some of the songs.

The game is always a blast to play, especially at parties with all of your friends. I love a lot of the music that is on it and the DLC (Downloadable Content). For someone that was never good at playing guitar it's pretty easy to use. Recommended for all ages!!
