Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (Playstation 2)

Graphics - 8/10
For what the game is, you are not buying this game to play for the graphics – though Activision was able to make the animations more vibrant, and a more noticeable experience.

Sound – 10/10
The track list for this game, along with the original recordings (including the reunited Sex Pistols!) is a must have. You will get lost in involvement when playing this game. This is one of the best soundtracks in a game to date.

Gameplay – 9/10
Though under new “ownership”, Activision has taken this game this game down a similar road, but with a new car. With slight improvements in the display hud, the notifications of streaks, and the “star power” activators easier to get, this game is fun. Plain and simple.

Replay Value - 10/10
It will hard not to play this game over and over. This is a worthy sequel.

Overall - 9/10
There are a few new tweaks to the actual gameplay, and it feels a bit easier to play (except some of the very final songs), but this game follows the old saying “if it ain’t broke – don’t fix it”. The song list, along with the new guitar, is stellar. With all the original, or master, tracks that are in this game, it is hard not to enjoy this game if you are a fan of rhythm or music games.

The new wireless “Gibson” guitar is heavier, more durable, and the closest thing to a real guitar peripheral that I have felt. I must say that this is a nice controller, and I did not want to put it down. I applaud Activision’s attention to detail. I highly recommend this bundle.

While I'm an advid video gamer, most games no longer thrill me. When I first played GH, I was hooked. Hooked for a long while. That was about a year ago, and I played GH 2. Now you would think that an updated version of the game would be a lot more fun, but sadly that is not the case for GH 3. The graphics on GH3 are horrible. They look very dull and aren't as sharp as GH2, or GH1 for that matter. Good song titles from the old axe masters, however, due to the crappy graphics, I was not able to 'dive in', so to speak. I know this is due mostly because the game was designed for better consoles (PS3, XBOX360* .......Wii...) It does not have that same "Yeah! I'm rocking out with a plastic guitar!?!!" feel as the previous ones. But enough of the game and onto the axes...

The Kramer Striker wireless guitars look very sleek. They are eye pleasing. The fact that the neck is detacheable is a plus. However, the quality has somewhat let me down a bit. On one guitar, the neck was kinda loose, not by a lot, but still annoying, and on the other guitar, the whammy bar was loose. Loose enough to move on its own. When 2 guitars are 'plugged in' (you plug in the wireless receiver into the console) its a pain. You'd think that the first guitar to be turned on and connect would be 1st player. This is not the case here. The guitar will start functioning, yet it somehow connected to the player 2 port, first. I try switching the receivers, and that seemed to work, until the next time I try to connect again. I now leave just one receiver plugged in. Also, the guitars have a range of about 30' (feet); not bad at all! Now I'm not sure if its the fact that I have not played in a long while, but there seems to be a bit of 'lag'. I never experienced that with the wired version. Then again it could be just me, who knows.

The bundle also included 2 sheets of stickers, along with a keychain (which I use :), 4 DURACELL batteries (Wow, DURACELL! Not some crappy unknown brand!), and 2 gig bags to put your guitars in. Very useful if you like to visit a friend just to whoop his/her butt at GH. Oh, I almost forgot the 2 straps!

Packaging was done well. Not a single scratch, dent, or missing piece.

All in all, the guitars are good. I like them, and I think you will like them too. I disliked GH3 very much though, but thats just me. You will get a lot of eye strain from GH3 if played in the PS2. This is from someone who owns a 32" LCD. And no, the game does not support HDTV format. At least not on the PS2. I guess I should mention that I only got this bundle, mainly for the 2 guitars.

I hope this rating was fair. I will admit that I was mostly ranting about how awful GH3 is (to me). Again, the guitars are pretty darn cool. They are wireless which reduces clutter. With a 30' (feet) range, hey you can't go wrong! Remember the extras too!

Really good game, I enjoy it alot....really good songs....it's a good buy, for people who enojy rock n roll, this is a game for them....this saves music, and teaches the new generation about music from the past.

Guitar Hero game was looked brand new. It works well and my kids and husband love it. The seller shipped the product the same day my payment went through.

Enjoyed playing it at my friends house, so got one of my own. Like it, lots of fun. My brother and I enjoy playing and the music is great. Even bought a second guitar so we could both play.

the game was awsome the guitar was good for about 2 days then it dosent connect good and some buttons dont work unless you hold it together but it is nothing to do with seller its just the new guitars with detachable necks because i went to walmart and bought ont and sure enough it dont work properly either seller was great very fast shipping and i would defently recomend seller to all ebay shoppers

i decided to buy this for my son because he was really wanting one since his brother has one. the product was just as described and works my son loves it. the ups took so long with it that is what i didnt like.

The game is great, kind of addictive at times. The songs list is terrific-i do not think i can say anything negative about it.

Guitar Hero III has the best selection of songs and the wireless guitar is the only way to go. The graphics are good and if you become good, you can unlock some pretty cool rock icons that can jam along with you.

Frustration and sadness.
The seller never sent the item,
for which money were taken on JUly 23, 2008.
Today is August 5, 2008.
Yesterday I received 2 e-mails from the seler "Hello, there" if you not pay and blah,blah we will report you and collect you , and remove you ..." All the transactions ,indicate the payment was completed, my bank account shows- money gone , bye,bye.
The website was offered for me to pay, but different from the official ebay site, is it scam, spoof or fraud?
It is impossible to hide anyhting nowdays. So, what seller is hoping to achieve, hard to say,item was never shipped , doubt it will be received now, when I am leaving for vacation in 2 days
In contrary, it is predictible what buyer will do, me - I will makw it public, that it is not safe to deal with Ebay or PayPal, I will contact consumer affaisrs and Fox news, and channel 5.
