Guitar Hero 3, by far, is the best game I have ever played. I also have GH 2 and Rocks the 80's: Encore, and this one has the best songs and the best characters. You can battle it out against Tom Morello and Slash in career mode.
All the primary characters in the game are from previous Guitar Hero's. And just for a "heads up", there is going to be a Guitar Hero: Aerosmith made entirely with songs played by the band, Aerosmith coming out sometime in June.
