| Description RedOctane's follow-up to the critically acclaimed rhythm game. Guitar Hero II features a brand-new and expanded track list, more venues and new play modes, and aims to rock longer and harder than its predecessor. RedOctane has once again teamed up with veteran music game developer Harmonix for the sequel, and is using famed recording studio WaveGroup for its music production, who also recorded the covers for the licensed tracks in the original Guitar Hero. The Xbox 360 version also adds 10 new songs, downloadable content features, leaderboards and online features, plus support for the Guitar Hero X-Plorer guitar controller.

Reviews  Wonderful set list, wonderful game If you have only experienced Guitar Hero III I suggest you invest in this game right now. This game is very similar to Guitar Hero III except it was made by the original makers of the Guitar Hero series, Harmonix. Harmonix now owns the rights to the Rock Band series after selling Guitar Hero to Neversoft and Activision. Guitar Hero II has one of the best set lists to date with many great bonus tracks and even downloadable tracks over XBOX Live. Guitar Hero II has a tighter timing window for strumming and hitting ho/po's (hammer ons and pull offs) which makes it a little more difficult, but altogether more enjoyable.
