Guitar Hero 5 (PlayStation 2, 2009)

Guitar Hero 5's track list contains 85 songs by 83 separate artists, and like previous Guitar Hero games, several musicians with works in the game have been modeled through motion capture for avatars in the game, including Johnny Cash, Carlos Santana, Shirley Manson, Kurt Cobain, and Matthew Bellamy. The game continues to support the user-created music studio introduced in World Tour through GHTunes, and additional downloadable content for the game will be made available. A majority of existing downloadable tracks from World Tour are forward-compatible with Guitar Hero 5, along with selected tracks from World Tour and Guitar Hero Smash Hits.

The game was well-received by reviewers who appreciated the improvements in the accessibility of the game, allowing players to immediately jump in and play without spending excessive time in the game's menus. Improvements to both the Career and competitive multiplayer modes were also highlights of the game. However, the game's track list was considered to be too broad, that while players will likely find a number of songs they enjoyed, they would also likely enough find a number that they would not like, and some controversy arose over the inclusion of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain in the game.

I really loved how fast i received this game and the fact that it had no scratches on it at all was awesome. I love how many songs you can unlock and that you can start a band with this game. I also was unaware that i couldn't use my ps controller paddle for this one but hey it's been years since i've owned a guitar hero game lol. the last one i had before this is Guitar Hero encore: rocks the 80s.

Even though it's a brand new released game for the ps2, it's pretty good, but the gameplay and the new features are different for the ps2 version, but it's a great game. it has a pretty good setlist and cool features for the new GH5 game. plus, since my dad loves carlos santana from santana, it makes this game also great, and i also like the awesome rockers from popular bands like kurt cobain from nirvana, johnny cash from his own name as a band name, and matt bellamy from muse. BTW 6 stars = FC (Full Combo) to make sure it's a REAL FC! :)

Guitar hero is awesome as always. Tons a good songs to pick from. It is more of the same with this guitar hero and nothing new was added since world tour. The load times are pretty long on the ps2. It takes 35 seconds to load a song!

I was very happy with the this purchase, it was just as it was described my the member and it works great with my playstation system. I decided to purchase this item because I was looking for a new guitar hero game with new songs to play and when I saw this game it sounded like it was a good game to try and it had different songs that I have not played before. I would recommed this member to other ebay members and I would also do business again with this member also.

Fun game, I highly recommend it. It's a good game to play with friends. It loads fast as well and has a lot of songs.

I bought the game a few weeks ago and waited 2 weeks to receive it. The description showed the game with the case and the title never mentioned that it was for the disc only. Of course, the seller mentioned that at the very bottom of the very long description but failed to include that very important piece of information in the title. I honestly thought I was buying the complete game (disc, case and manual), but NO i only received the disc and paid 11$US for shipping (The wrapping must have been in gold or something because 11$US to ship a disc is crazy. I have had much heavier stuff that that shipped to me for a lot less. The shipping quote was not fair the title was misleading because it never mentioned that it was for the disc only. I am aware that it was mentioned somewhere else on the page, but why would anybody double check everything when the picture shows the game in its case and when the title does not say anything about it.

I personally think Rock Band is much better. With guitar hero 5, for one the graphics are so cartoonish, the songs are songs you like to hear, and are boring to play. I mean, it's fun, but yeah pretty much. I've only played through the first couple sets of songs, hopefully they get better.

The new songs are great! The only thing is that the graphics keep getting worst and the sound effects absolutely suck in this game. I decided to get it because I love Guitar Hero!!
