A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints (DVD, 2007)

I decided to buy this product because Shia LaBeouf is my favorite actor. I looked up enough about the mjovie to want to buy it. What I loved about the movie was its originality and bold independence. The coloring of the movie was a little off it seemes, but it was watchable. I also liked the honesty of the story. This movie is based on a true story and follows almost exactly to real life events, which makes it stray from the "hollywood" ending or fictional fabrication. That fact brings me to my "dislikes." Although I enjoyed the movie, I dont know how much I recommend it to others. It is not like the average movie. The actors and actresses did a great job, but the story... Its hard to explain! I, for one, LOVE MOVIES! All movies! And it is possible that I liked this movie just because it was a movie. I convinced a friend to watch it and she responded, "I dont know if I liked it." And she didn't. If you're a real movie lover, I suggest this movie to add to your collection. If nothing else, it will give you more experience in watching movies. If you are looking for a 5 star fairy tale of drama, this may not be your best choice.

Winner best ensemble sundance and winner best director! Great story about a bitter sweet return to home. Chazz palmnteri has one of his best performaces as the angry father in this great story.

one of the best movies i have ever seen. robert downey jr. is the best and shia labeouf is the man. This movie is great all together.

Chaz is my favorite actor but this film just did not hold my interest. Also hard to understand the dialogue. Oh well !

I bought this movie solely because...I like Shia Labeouf. Yeah, so what, sue me.

But, before I bought it, i read reviews on it. I read that this was an excellent movie written and directed by Dito Montiel about his life growing up.

What i like most about it is the back and forth flashback that occurs throughout the whole movie.

This movie is a little slow but i like it because of the drama and the how well he put his life even with minute details.

I liked the overall theme, and the actors in it are marvelous!!! Shia LaBeouf is utterly amazing, he can cry on cue and is also very very hot! Overall a great movie... Has a lot of strong vocabulary but is very well done!

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES I HAVE SEEN IN YEARS.SHIA LEBEAUF AND TATUM CHANNING ARE EXCELLENT IN THEY'RE ROLLS AND THE STORY IS VERY WELL WRITTEN.I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE WHO IS A FAN OF ROBERT DOWNY JR. BECAUSE ITS ONE OF HIS BEST ROLES YET.BUY THIS MOVIE.

i recieved the shipmant on time. it was all handled at a fair price. there was nothing wrong with the disc either. everything was great and smooth without a single bump in the road.

I think this a great coming of age movie about Dito Montiel, telling his story of how he and his friends grew up in chaotic 1980's Queens. A great movie I think everyone should see at least once.

We were highly anticipating in watching this movie, and after doing so, we rate it as AVERAGE. The coloring was off to help represent the past(which may be a turn off for some). The movie is set in the 80's.

The streets of the Queens were not presented as rough(street-like) and action-filled as much as would have liked to see or thought they would have been.

Slow beginning, somewhat dry but gets slightly better as the film goes on.

We feel this movie had a lot of potential that just wasnt reached.

A handful of well-known actors/actresses(more than we had expected). The roles were also not played out as well as we had expected.

Our Overall Rating: 5.5 out of 10 (AVERAGE)

I am very excited to see this movie thanks for adding to my rdj collection! the buy was prompt and came within a week of buying it great condition!!

Bought it as a gift and had sent to nephew. He was visiting from Florida and stated he could not find this movie. I knew I would find it here and I did.
