The Grouchy Ladybug by Eric Carle (1999, Hardcover, Board)

I brought this book for my granddaughter and she loved it. She's in love with ladybugs and I felt this had a good message in the book as well as being good bedtime reading material.

This is a great book that teaches kids about time and about positive attitudes as well as just being entertaining.

This is a wonderful story about a mean lady bug and a nice polite lady bug. The book teaches children that it is better to be kind and polite. Wonderful illustrations adds so much to this book. My 3 year old loves this book. This will always be a classic in our home.

I have recently been blessed with my first grandchild.Since I am a preschool teacher,I am very aware of the Eric Carle books and how much the children love them.I decided that I would begin a collection of Eric carle books for my granddaughter so that she would learn to appreciate books and be exposed to a his unique writing style and illustrations. I get great prices and selection with ebay and have the opportunity to purchase more than I could afford to in a book store.

This is one of the stories that my daughter's kindergarten teacher read to the class and parents for the "Pajama Party" at school. It is a great way to teach children the concept of time and familiarize them with how to tell time. It is also repetitive throughout the story so the children learn to read certain phrases by recall and recognition. The children and their parents all loved the book and now my children and I can read the book in our home as well.
