The second game in the series includes a number of paintball pros, different modes, and a level editor. Like the previous game, GREG HASTING'S TOURNAMENT PAINTBALL MAX'D includes a number of different gameplay modes. Players work as part of a team (either AI-controlled or with friends) to take down the opposing team in a number of different environments. The single-player campaign mode takes it a step further, putting players in charge of forming a paintball team from a number of unknowns and turning them into paintball champions. Along the way, players will face off against big-name paintball players, including Nicky Cuba, Matt Marshall, Peter Utsching, and, eventually, Greg Hasting himself. Between tournaments, players can purchase new equipment for their characters and spend accumulated skill points to increase their statistics. The biggest addition to MAX'D is the level editor. This allows gamers to create their own paintball arenas ranging from small to large, cluttered to open. Players can add bunkers, rocks, trees, picnic tables, and many other items to the field. Each map can be shared online or played with computer-controlled opponents. The ability to create and share custom levels online will keep players coming back to GREG HASTING'S TOURNAMENT PAINTBALL MAX'D for some time. It provides gamers with everything that makes paintball great without worrying about getting a ball of paint all over their faces. Special Features Warnings Mild Lyrics, Mild Realistic Violence, Mild Violence

If you like paintball, then you will like to play this game. There are some improvements over the old one. You can call out and tell your teammates where your opponents are. You can also tell them to move up, or attack. The game is also much more fun to play and doesn't get as repetitive as the old one. There are much more guns to choose from, but your teammates are all the same. It basically has the same graphics so no improvements there. Also, it is longer, and if you beat it, you can go to it on hard mode and play it again. Overall, if you like paintball, you should buy this game, or even if you just like shooting people, buy this game. Review ID: 10000000000887920 Was this review helpful? We mostly liked the fact that there can be multiple players, so that there can be four team members playing at the same time. Instead of having to sit back and watch the action. The XBOX Live is a great addition also, sometimes it's fun to get whooped up on by someone from around the world. What we didn't like was the fact that you can only play in a tournament once, and once you win that tournament you're stuck with that position. You can't go back and play them again, and make more money off of them. The actual first person point of view is awesome, and we spend a lot of time playing this game. We can't wait until they release another one! Review ID: 10000000001227047 Was this review helpful? Report this review Review created: 06/18/06 by: 5 of 7 people found this review helpful. Greg Hasting's Tournament Paintball Max'd (Xbox) is an addictive first person shooter type game. It varies from other run-of-the-line games in its genre because it incorporates sport, instead of missions fighting terrorists/crime etc. Its style is fresh and entertaining...definately a good alternative to other sports games like NHL 2006 or FIFA. Its gameplay is entertaining and captivating, but somewhat lacking. It is not the most realistic in its recreation of the sport itself, but is fun nonetheless. It has an awesome soundtrack that never seems to get old, but the side comments and remarks made by the announcer sure do. It also incorporates the tournament style play that allows the user to earn cash, which can be used to buy gear, including markers, pants, and other necessities. However, there is an utter lack of good equipment, especially high quality paintball guns. It is clear to see who sponsored the game the most (Tippman). Tippman has like 5 markers available to buy, although they only offer a few different variations in real life. Well known brand names are noticibly absent from their small selection. Though the game does have its weaknesses, but it is entertaining and worth purchasing for a mid-range price ($15-$35). It has made improvments over its predecessor, and I am certain that the next version will be one step closer to a perfect recreation of this glorious sport.
