Haven't seen this movie in years. PBS showed it during "Juneteenth" some 20 years ago. Even those libs won't air it now. A great piece of history. Sits on my shelf right next 82 episodes of Amos 'n Andy.

The Green PasturesAn excellent all black cast. It is the story of God and the main stories of the Bible as told by southern blacks. I stumbled across this movie one day on T.V. and only watched a portion of it. I knew eventually that I would find it again on ebay.

The Green Pasturesi had this movie in vhs format and it was destroyed. i was able to get it in dvd format from e-bay and this made me very happy. this is one of my favorites and i have enjoyed watching it since my purchase in march.

this movie really shows how great the actors were, andi love old movies and this one is just great. it shows how back in tha days how black people really could act. and having the back ground of knowing gods busniess really helps out i wish i could find movie like this.
