Fascinating criminal study
If you are interested in character studies and crimes, this book may appeal to you. Don't be fooled by the title--the players in the book come from different states and Mexico, and have ties to everything from organized crime to the mining industry. Pancho Villa plays a role as does the United Fruit Company (think "Chiquita" and "terrorism"). And there are many other 'vignettes,' for lack of a better word. I bought it because it has a synopsis of the murders at Glensheen mansion (which is an unbelievable story, and worth reading). I am a docent at the mansion, so I know the story is correct!
If you buy it retail, I think it's very expensive. Look for it on the secondary market.
