The Fox Rocks
Well, I am not biased, so here goes: First, SF actually has quite a good voice: good range, pleasant tone and an interesting, somewhat etherial quality. Also, her voice has personality - you can hear her accent and you know it's her and where she's coming from. Second, this particular collection chronicles her music, which is all across the board. I think she (or, her producers) did not focus her on finding her own identity so much, rather, there are tracks that sound like, "OK, do a Debbie Harry song, OK, now, do a song like Laura Brannigan. OK, Rockabilly sounds good - do one of those." And of course, "OK, do another "Touch Me." This shows her range. Third, her standout song, "Naughty Girls" is actually such a good, musically original and well produced song it is scary. Finally, the cover photo is so 1980s it is like a time machine. Buy this CD!
