One of the finest American pop-rock bands of 1960s, the Buckinghams fused a spunky, British Invasion-influenced sound with pure pop sensibilities and a distinct soul influence, turning out a batch of hits in the process. Despite its GREATEST HITS subtitle, STANDING ROOM ONLY is not an anthology of those hits, but a latter-day live recording. That said, those Buckinghams pop gems are ably recreated here, including "Kind of a Drag," "Susan," and "Hey Baby (They're Playing Our Song)."
