Greatest Hits by Journey (CD, Oct-1996, Columbia USA)

Go ahead… admit it. Journey is one of the great 70s and 80s bands – symbolizing 80s rock, hair spray, wild vocals and outfits. Lead by Steve Perry, Journey wrote and performed some of the most classic songs of the 80s – in fact, people often hear some of the songs and, after singing the lyrics, are surprised to learn its Journey.

The power ballads make the CD and scream 80s rock: "Faithfully," "Open Arms," and "Send Her My Love”. Non ballads songs like: Anyway You Want It" and "Don't Stop Believin'” are equally fun.

Other notes: This CD has a DVD companion that I purchased off of eBay as well. It does the band and songs such great justice mostly because of the outfits and hair. But if you watch closely enough, you will even see that American Idol judge Randy Jackson was part of the band in several scenes (looking awful!) as the bassist. Also, Journey is currently touring – it’s a great show, but beware – Steve Perry is no longer part of the band, and its just not the same!

Extra Feature: little known fact, but this CD doubles as a Karaoke preparation CD. Any karaoke fan will love this CD because it provides classic karaoke tune after classic tune.

I love journey led by Steve Perry and Neal Schon. The band broke up following Steve Perry's bout with cancer and Neal Schon forming Bad English. Journey's Greatest Hits is 15 solid tracks and the fastest 65 minutes you'll listen to. Steve Perry he is truly an amazing singer--no one sounds like him. Greatest Hits is a must buy for any true music fan, it's well worth the money.

If I was stuck on a desert island and all I could bring was handful of items this would be on my list. I would also bring a generator, a GPS, and a satellite phone because I may love this artist but I am not an idiot!

If you are a big Journey fan or Steve Perry fan, you must add this to your collection! These are the big hits that Journey made during the period when Steve Perry sang lead; that's when Journey was at their peak. Every song is GREAT!

I have always loved some of these songs. Now I get to listen to it all of the time. The delivery came quickly. The CD is in great condition.

Some really good soft rock music. Takes you back to the eighties!! One of my favorite groups. I buy a lot of greatest hits cds because you get so many popular songs on them. Finding this on Ebay was a great buy!!

This CD brings back memories from the past. Every song is great. The best all time band. This group belongs in the rock and roll hall of fame. Lots of rock and roll.

Journey at their best. No one can replace Steve Perry and these songs will bring back lots of great memories. If you love Journey or know someone who does this is the definitive collection.

I love the entire CD. All of the songs are terrific. The CD arrived in good shape and the quality of the recording is excellent.

If you like Journey, you'll love their greatest hits cd. It is simply a great collection of their most well-known and recognized songs! It's a little short in length, but still enjoyable.

What i liked about this it that it is way cheaper then the store, ya it may be used, but still worked great and had no scratches - was in great shape - this is a great cd

Just great song's all the way around, Remind's me of them in cncert. I baught this two years ago, and wore it out so i baoght another, but my wife and kids like journey also so i had to end up getting to more CD's, one for my collection and one fo my wife's.

This is a keeper. I don't have many CD's because I usually buy them and then burn the songs I like and resell them. Every song on here is great because Journey rocks!

How could you not love this cd. Classic. 5 stars. I am constantly amazed that I can find great music at such a great value! You do have to watch for excessive shipping charges. Love ebay for good deals on music!

I WOULD HIGH RECOMMEND THIS INSPIRATIONAL MOVIE TO ANYONE, WHO APPRECAITE FREEDOM. I GOT TO ADMIT THE TALE OF THIS STORY WAS INCREDIBLE. IT GIVE ME A DEEP THOUGHT ON HOW AND WHAT WE DO IN LIFE CAN CHANGE IN AN INSTANT. LIFE HAS ITS FUN YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN DAY TO DAY. THERE ARE SO MANY TWIST AND TURNS. I AM GREATFUL WHAT I HAVE. WE ARE PUT ON EARTH FOR SUCH A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. WE GOT TO USE EVERY DAY, MINUTES AND SECONDS TO THE MAX.

This is a great compilation of some of their hits. Too bad this line-up of musicians will never pass our way again. Very sad. All the more reason to grab the music while you can.
