The Greatest Hits 1966-1992 by Neil Diamond (CD, May-1992, 2 Discs, Columbia USA)

I am amazed that Neil would allow this fraud on the market. While the CD contains many of his "Greatest Hits", 14 of them are VERY poorly recorded and produced live concert recordings, far different than the hits that you might remember. The recording on these live cuts is very poorly done. The exact same audience sounds fade into many of the songs even if, per the liner notes, the songs were recorded in different locations. If they were interested in producing a product for their audience, Neil Diamond fans, they should have simply taken the original versions of the later hits that are included here and made a collection of that. Combining such a collection along with a couple of other REAL greatest hits collections ("The Neil Diamond Collection", MCA2119 and "Classics, The Early Years") that are on the market would have made a great and complete Neil Diamond collection with few repeats.

This 2 CD set covers 25 years of this classic singer / songwriter. They just don't make them like him anymore. And that's too bad. Own this great set. Tracks include these favorites:

I never received this cd. I was notified that it was pulled from the listing and I should wait for 30 days to try to get my money back.

I'm sure it would have been great music as I love Neil, but unfortunately, there are a few bad crooks out there.

My cd came scratched. I e-mailed the seller to tell him. He replied with in a reasonable time, must to say that he had personally listed to the cd before selling it. I took it to a local "tradding post" and had it looked at. The man buffed it twice to get it to work. It cost me $6.00 to have it cleaned and now it sounds fine.

The seller did not mislead me at all about the CD. It is perfect, has been played dozens of times and would do business with this seller again. Lois blk321

I bought this item because its a great cd and the price was excellant. I would like to find more cds with similar music that had as good a price.

I can't think of any better music for a road trip!! Really makes a long trip seem enjoyable!! I love Neil Diamond music, and movies. Wish he'd make some more.

Have been a big Neil Diamond fan overhalf of my life. Never could get to a concert or afford it so this is the best for me! I can listen to it whnever and as often as I want too. I love it................KMF

Too many live cuts--not up to his standards--cd pretty much sucked--live cuts not recorded or mastered right--other Neil Diamond cd's I have are high quality--this is worst than garage mateial in an outhouse---down right sucked !!!!!!!!!

I am big fan of Neil Diamond, and the songs on the CD's are his greatest hits, which is why I bought them. I was disappointed that they were recorded from concerts and not originals. Definitely worth the price.

This is one of the best cds ever!!!!!! Great songs to sing along to (lol) Neil's voice is wonderful.
