Another great Christmas story from Jeff Guinn! This one is less history and more fun! The question of "Who is the real Santa?" comes up in 1841 with the appearance of "Santa" at the JW Parkinson's Dry Good Store in Philadelphia. As the years fly by more and more "Santas" begin to appear in other stores and street corners, making it harder to know the truth!
FUN-TV is having rating problems when Bob O. Butler, the TV-network president, comes up with the idea of a reality show for Christmas Eve. His Christmas show,"The Merry Monkey" failed miserably so inspired by Sarah and Felix, he plans an extravaganza for the following Christmas. Now he just has to find an interested sponsor....thus the Lastlong Toy Company becomes the sole sponsor with conditions.
From here the fun begins as Santa begins to ready himself to compete in the show against 9 other Santas! You'll enjoy every minute you spend reading to your children or yourself.... finding the real reason for Santa and Christmas!
Take my word for it... you will not be disappointed in any of the 3 Santa books by Jeff Guin.... and you'll want all 3! Merry Christmas!
