I LOVE listening to Bowling For Soup. My Son introduced me to this group by sending me a link to their website for the video of 1985. If you haven't watched this, you must! They are so talented!
Yes, that is the real name of this band! They bill themselves as The Happiest Band on Earth and after you listen to their songs, you too will feel happier than you were before listening to them.
I had the pleasure of seeing them perform in Sparks, Nevada Feb 2007 and what a concert it was.
The venue was horrible - When I say there was no heat in this building and it was way below freezing, I mean there was absolutely no heat at all in this building. BFS and the other two bands played their hearts out for those of us who stuck it out.
