Grease by Original Soundtrack (CD, Apr-1991, Polydor USA)

This is one of my favorite cds. A lot of songs have a fast beat but there are also a few slow dance songs. The cd is almost like watching the movie. When you hear a song, it takes you back to that scene from the movie. Some songs are Beauty School Drop Out, Born To Hand Jive, and so many more! It makes you want to get up and Hand Jive!

IT ARRIVED IN A TIMELY MANNER AND IN GOOD CONDITION. I LOVED IT ALOT!!!!!! SOUND QUALITY WAS GOOD. I'M GLAD I BOUGHT IT. I DO NOT AT ALL LIKE HOW I GET SCREWED OVER FOR AN ITEM OR MY MONEY JUST BECAUSE I USED SOMETHING OTHER THAN PAY PAL IN THE PAST. IT'S NOT THE FIRST TIME IT'S HAPPENED EITHER. THE SELLER ALWAYS ENDS UP GETTING BELIEVED OVER THE BUYER. I DON'T THINK IT'S RIGHT.

I enjoyed the movie years ago. I have cassette tape, but now I wanted CD. The songs are great. This was John Travolta at his best. I really enjoy the music. The price was excellant, so I bought.

GREASE IS THE WORD! It doesn't matter how old you are, you can still re-live the nostalgia of 1950s through this 1970s classic. This CD contains 24 tracks in all, including the ever famous SUMMER NIGHTS, YOU'RE THE ONE I WANT and WE GO TOGETHER. Every track brings back countless memories of the motion picture. Grease has something for everyone whether it's rock 'n' roll or a love song. All these great songs introduce any generation to a collection of music which is truly classic. The original soundtrack took me back to when I first watched the movie years ago. I had forgotten what a great movie it is and listening to the music made me feel as if I had watched it all over again. I love this CD and I am sure you will too.

I love listening to these songs over & over again. I played out my 8 track as a kid, killed my tape as a teenager & now I am putting some mileage on my CD. I must have for all Grease fans!

In today's market of "soundtracks", which usually include songs that were not in the movie and often exclude songs that were in the movie, it is great to see that people dig this album. That said, I am glad that I swiped my sister's double-vinyl album instead of shelling out money to by an album with too much filler.

Who doesn't like Grease? These are the songs that you can sing anytime anywhere. Whenever I watch the movie, I find myself singing along.

I received the Grease CD in good condition and within stated timeframe. I had been looking locally for this CD but was unable to find it. The price was excellent. Thanks.

Takes me back to my teenage years. A totally delightful CD. Love it. I bought this on a whim but am very happy that I did, it is great.

I never recieved this cd sound track. How am I suppose to give a review when the only thing I have to say is that I never recieved the cd. i do appreciate the reminder email to write the review because I have been thinking about it but havent' had time to go around and research what I am suppose to do about this. I love each and every song on this CD. It is a favorite movie that brings me back to my childhood, and hearing the songs is the icing on the cake!

I love the movie grease and this cd has all my favorite songs from the movie.this is a great cd for fans of the movie a must buy.

The movie is a 1970s take on 1950s musicals, providing all the kitsch anyone could hope for. It's John Travolta as Danny Zuko as Olivia Newton-John's pompadoured main squeeze, and the kids go crazy. Fresh from his astronomical success with Travolta in Saturday Night Fever, Bee Gee Barry Gibb penned the title track (sung by Frankie Valli). Sha Na Na is over-represented, and actress Stockard Channing struts her, um, versatility, singing a couple of tracks. This has become a touchstone in American culture, and so isn't likely to improve our standing in the world's eyes. Maybe the point is that it's supposed to sound amateurish, but it does manage to eke out some fun, most notably on the hit "You're the One That I Want.

The CD helped our kids understand what the musical was about and how the musical should go, thanks so much. You really helped getting the CD here on time, and it turned out great for a our musical.

Couldn't pass up a deal like that for a classic such as this. Growing up this was one of my favorites and it still continues to be now. My kids thought I was crazy when they were young and I would watch this movie and listen to the music and now they love it just as much.

The movie was a favorite growing up, my sister and I practically wore out the album. A few weeks ago we saw the play here in chicago, it brought back a lot of good memories and I realized that I didn't have the cd and it was a MUST have!

Grease if one of my favorite movies, and for some reason or other I never purchased the CD. After seeing the Broadway version, which I loved, I decided to get the movie soundtrack, because I prefer the music and the performers.

I love the movie and watch it with my kids regularly. After opening the CD, they were very excited. We have had several nights of family fun. If you ever wanted to take those fun filled songs with you, then this is the CD for you.

I saw the movie again for the 25th time and forgot how much fun the soundtrack is. I had to have it.

This has always been one of my all time favorite movies and to have a CD with all of these songs well it is wonderful. I love to pop it into my cd player and turn it up and sign along with it. But, I try to think of others and only do that when I am by my self : )
