I absolutly love it!!! I have over 70 books and this is by far my favorite. Each pattern is showed twice in a different fabric selection. I even recognized a few fabrics. They are larger than normal pages in this book,its nice to see the blocks so big. The pattern instruction diagrams are very easy to figure out. Many many blocks I have never seen. Although if you have the first edition of the grandmas favorite blocks,there were a few repeats in this new edition. But not many. You cant go wrong---bye it.

I love this book!!
The Quilts included are stunning examples of the Loving Labors of our predecessors. I am always amazed by the quilts done by hand-piecing and quilting. The directions and adaptations for more modern quilts are quite good and the instructions are easy to follow.
It is the history of these quilts and their makers that make this book special. Quotes from actual pioneer quiltmakers are heart rending, when one realizes their passion for this art was great, in spite of all the chores and day to day life struggles they had to endure.
My family would have frozen to death. I couldn't make it without my sewing machine!
This book is one I reach for when I need inspiration or, more likely, motivation! If those women could accomplish these beautiful quilts without all all our modern time savers, I am ashamed at my foot dragging!
I am sure you will love this book. It is suitable for a coffee table display.

Grandma's Best Full Size Quilt BlocksThis is a wonderful book, however it is much a duplicate of the earlier release in the pattern department. This was the only drawback to the book. The blocks are all in a spiral bound format that allows for easy coping and working. I liked the book because it shows the block completed in color, a diagram of how to piece the block in an easy manner and a group of blocks assembled together to give a glimpse of what a quilt might look like. There are also helpful tips to go along with each block and in some areas a glimpse of how various blocks can be used together.
