I've had this game ever since i was 3, and ALWAYS loved it.

pros: GREAT graphics, exact physics, NO prize reduction for crashing (I'm looking at you GT4!) never gets old, Tuning BEYOND specific!

cons: no Lamborghinis or Ferraris, only 1 Chrysler

(by the way, I'm on day 572, have 46 cars, 5 of which are F1s, and 2,100,000Cr. {no cheats used!})

Best racing game ever. I'll leave it at that.

I bought this game for my 17 yr old son because my 8 yr old broke his, it is as good as new & I have happy boys again which makes mom happy.

Racing is, as far as racing goes, a simplistic concept. Right? You get into a car, push the gas and go around and around in a track. Right?

Gran Turismo 3 shows us that there is much more to racing than we realise with the great number of tuning options, a large variety and number of cars amongst other things.
There are plenty of tracks in Gran Turismo 3, including real tracks such as Test Course, Laguna Seca and Grand Valley Speedway. There are also plenty of Rally Tracks, some of them real such as Tahiti Maze and lots of Rally cars including the Toyota Celica and specialty cars from European Companies such as Delta and Lancia.
I played this game for a very long time, 200 hours plus, but never finished it. I still have the Formula Racing Challenge at the end of the Professiional Courses and can't finsh the last three courses :(
Some of the endurance courses are too long and I don't like to play video games that long consistently.
Still this game is the best racing simulator, best legal racing game, one of the best PS2 games of all time, and had ground breaking graphics for the time when it was released.

I've spent many hours late into the night playing this game. I really haven't enjoyed a game this much in a while. Its bad ass!

I was looking for ps2 games and this was a game I have played years ago

I bought this due to review comments I'd read saying that this was the most authentic and user friendly racing video game. It's okay. The graphics are nice. Mine came without a user guide so maybe I haven't found the right spot yet but there don't seem to be a whole lot of race courses in this game, though there is a large selection of cars.

Be carefull buying this game the physic are real and just like real life you can't take a 90 degree turn at 100 mph, this game is relistict not arcady like most racing games. this is by far the best racing sim out there and if you aren't ready for a game like this don't buy it but if you are a hard core racing fan and really are into what it takes to really drive a car then this is the game for you. I don't want to see anyone complaining about this game is too hard or unrealistic, because the game is very relistic. I would love to see the people who complain about this game try to go rally thier ford tarus and see how well they do. This is definatly the hardcore gamers game.

The entire Gran Turismo series is awful. Despite all the 13 year-old's opinions, who have coincidentally never driven a car, the physics are not realistic at all. This game is all hype and graphics. Great for posers. Bad for people who want a fun racing game. It takes way too much practice time to race well. It's like a nagging homework assignment. Don't buy it.

I own all four american versions and understand that you need to get the licenses to attain the other tracks. These GT games aren't meant to be easy. If writing a review though, I'd rather see the reviews be about the seller or the quality of a used product not your inability to look for game reviews prior to buying. I've never bought from this user and therefor won't review him/her but have all four games and love them.

This game was not worth the dollar i paid for! The game has outdated graphics and the game engine just absolutely suck all around, I also did not like how it was setup..u had to aquire licenses to get into a bigger race...

not too bad. that was too hard for me,,, lol

I love to race cars, And this one can do it for me. It was very reasonable price to. I have no complants about it but, They love the game.

This is the best driving game you can buy. Very real like driving and it is hands down the best. GT4 was OK, but GT3 is the best by far! Recommended for anyone who likes driving games as well as upgrades and mods that you can do as well as cheat codes--make cars faster, downforce, etc!!

I love it and still play it even though it is an older game, well worth the money!!

It's just great. Even though i thought that i couldn't find this game any more because i used to have it until a fake friend of mines stole it but i finally got half.com to rely on.
