If you are a Clint Eastwood fan, then this movie is another fantastic film, to add to the collection that is growing!
(Clint Eastwood), is Walt Kowalski, an american soldier who fought in Korea, his neighbors are the Hmoung from Loas and Thailand. Coming to the USA, they move in next door, trouble starts for walt, after his wifes funeral, his children want him to retire fully, and give everything up. Walt, is a grizzled and bitter old man, who saw to much dieing in the war, and lived with the memories for too long. And when his neighbors are singled out, Walt, feels it is upto him to retaliate on the local gangs. Through the drama of the film, it hits home to all of us, in the US, as we watch our own neighborhoods deteriate from gang violence, Clint Eastwood, hits another film home where we sit comfortably in our easy chairs and wish someone would do something, and relieing on our neighbors-like Walt, they are the ones who do something about it.
This belongs on the shelf next to Absolute Power and Dirty Harry. Once again, Clint Eastwood director and actor, brings everyday life onto the screen, to show us, we need a Walt Kowalski in our lives..
