Minimax describes 2 very different courses of action in preparing food, both of which must take place together. MINI stands for minimizing known health risks because you care. MAX stands for maximizing eating enjoyment by adding aroma, color, & texture because you want to please. If you want to prepare healthy food that tastes great, this book might interest you.
Pros: Nice Pictures. A lengthy book with lots of recipes and information; the book doesn't skimp on details. Good recipes overall. (Some not to my taste, but most are fine.) The price- you can usually find this book on ebay for super cheap.
Cons: The book is somewhat disorganized, and there are places that are a little confusing.
