Gourmet Chef: Cook Your Way to Fame (Nintendo DS, 2008)

For those who have played Cooking Mama, this game takes cooking to the next level. It is fairly more involved for each recipe but easy for anyone to handle. There is a fair amount of dialogue I must say, but you can easily skip over that if you do not want to get into the story. I would highly recommend for anyone to buy this game, specifically I would recommend buying it from ebay. The seller whom I bought my copy from, I practically got it for half price.

I bought this game because I love cooking games, and it looked fun, challenging, exciting. The reason I gave this game an average score is because I was done the same day I bought it.

Loved it because:
controls are easy
some levels are challenging
some of the character interactions are hilarious - I'm French, so when the girl goes Oh mon Dieu! Totally priceless.
It IS a fun game. period.

Did not like it because:
Can we say ... short? the same day, I was done.
I felt cheated, robbed. For the price, it could have been much much longer, or with different challenges, or "side" quests.
No real replay value - what's to replay? nothing changes. (shrugs)

Would I recommend it? maybe, IF and only if you can find a good used copy for a lower price. (I'll be selling mine very soon)

I seen this game in the store when it first came out and wanted it then but like all new games it was a little on the expensive side. After buying it through e-bay I can say that I love the game. It is easy to understand and has different levels. I like the fact that the recipes are saved in a cookbook and I can look them up and make them myself. I find that very nice and some sound very good. I'm excited to make the white and dark mousse.

This game is a LOT of fun! Especially if you like to cook! You actually get to prepare meals, and there are real recipes that you can actually follow and make! If you're passing time, or actually learning how to cook, it's an excellent addition to your DS collection!

My daugther just recently got a nintendo ds and she loves the cooking games. Out of all the cooking games,my daughter has she loves this game. I actually played the game one day and absolutely loved it. I recommend to anyone to purchase this game it is like cooking in a real restuarant setting.

I love to cook but it is hard to cook gourmet. As soon as I saw this game on ebay I wanted it bad. I couldn't wait to get it in the mail. The waiting was SO worth it. I'm addicted to this game. I love it. I've also learned a couple of this as far as the proper way to dice or chop even slice... The recipes are so easy... I highly recommend this game to the cooking fanatics...

Loved the shirt. Thanks for finding it and selling it on ebay. It's great to find something on ebay,that a person can buy. Sometimes for alot less than what the store sell's it for.

The game is an awesome interactive for cooking and a level for learning and fun but not to kiddie and for the person who actually enjoys learning to cook foreign cuisine. Nintendo has continued to bridge the gap between simulator and toy. Highly recommend for anyone who is learning to cook but still wants to have fun.

I bought this my mistake and DID buy the right one later. This is geared more towards myself than a beginner. I will probably use it...I like all cooking items.

its a fantastic game...she has been playing it non stop. its very real life
it gives the kids an outlook to cooking. my daughter is very intered in cooking so this helps her learn names of cooking utencils

This game is very much fun!! It takes a little bit to get the hang of it but it is great! I would do away with some of the mindless talk between the chefs but it's lots of fun! You get to cook all sorts of dishes and even have a chance to earn the restaurant a star from a food critic!

I wrote this person about me paying at a later time. He or she didn't even bother writing me back. They just sent me a message saying they would relist my item in 24 hrs.
