Gotcha! (DVD, 2003)

This was one of my favorite movies from the 1980s. It starts out as two college paintball pranksters take off for Paris to get laid. Manolo is immediately successful, but Jonathan (Anthony Edwards) is not until he meets up with a mysterious Sasha (Linda Fiorentino), who eventually tells him that she is a spy. She gives Jonathan what he wants, but then gets him so involved in her life that they venture into East Germany (the DDR). Jonathan is so smitten with this woman that eventually he is on the run with film in his apple strudel and she with tears in her eyes tells him on the telephone to run as fast as he can back across the border.

I won't tell you about the end, but it does not turn out like you think that it would. In fact, it is rather silly.

However, the ride is so worthwhile, I am overlooking the ending. You should see this movie just to see how Anthony Edwards got started before the ER television show and before "Revenge of the Nerds."

If you lived the 80's, loved the 80's, you will probably like this movie. I was waiting for it on DVD and it finally made it. This takes you back to Punk Rock and the the seperation between E&W Germany. It is what all guys dream about, going to Europe, meeting up with a better than average babe (actually hot) and running from people that want to kill ya! Yea, it maybe a little far fetched but so was Night Rider.

Although somewhat outdated, it was a great movie to sit and watch with my daughter and wife. It is enjoyable, even though I had to explain the Berlin wall to my 14 year old daughter. As it turns out she corrected me on a few things since they happened to have studied it in school a few weeks before.
It had a little too much adult contant for my 14 year old, but she found everything else entertaining, and exciting.

This is a movie that I watched about seven years ago in tv broadcast and recorded it. I watched it on VHS over and over again, and completely loved it to death. I Guess the reason for that was that i've always liked those older movies, nowdays they just don't seem to have that same motion. Then, I can't remember if the tape got lost or somehow it just left or gone away. Years gone by, and every now and then i'd recall those memories and little by little I began to came for an idea that I should buy that movie on DVD... Then someday (after months of being a member of Ebay) I searched it for fun, and bid it. Watching it felt exactly as goog as years ago ! Bussiness with seller was great in everyway, DVD was in great condition just as I expected, and I got what I needed !

A great 80's movie.Anthony Edward still has his hair!

I remembered watching this movie when I was a kid. I thought it was cool, so I searched for it on Ebay and bought it. It's not something I would probably be interested in now, but when your younger this seemed like a cool movie.

I used to watch this movie all the time growing up, but I hadn't seen it in years so I decided to buy it. It's amazing what you don't 'get' when you're a kid! For example, replace 'faster' in my title with 'bastards' and you have what the taxi driver really says! too funny!

I had seen this movie a long time ago and liked it so when I saw it on ebay I had to have it. The Seller was great also. Good communication and the price was great.

this is one of the best 80s trash teenage junk thriller comedys ever made. in the footsteps of jhon huse and eurotrash. iresistable soundtrack - is only defeated by the even better and smaller produced - teenwolf....

I bought the movie as it is one of my favorites and I didn't have it available on DVD. I saw the movie many years ago and it is still one of my favorites

Not just a college kids movie, has adult theme about esponiage and CIA stealing Russian information.

Great movie. Alittle heavy in some area but for the most part this is a great college spy movie. I like the characters. THe only thing I dod not like was the sex references. I think the movie could have been made without them. There is a lot of inter play between the gotcha club members and spies in general to cover the movie. Like the bambi vs Carlos the terrrorist barbs.

I bought this movie as a father's day gift for my husband. it is a long time favorite of his. an excellent spoof on spy movies from the 80's

I saw the movie year ago and liked it---my husband wanted to but it for our DVD collection so we ordered it. I love looking back at the clothes and styles of the '80s---it really is fun to watch and realize how much has changed.

this is a great suspenseful movie in the early days of Anthony Edwards. College kid on summer break unwittingly pulled into spy caper by beautiful CIA operative, and being chased throughout E. Berlin (before fall of wall) by KGB looking for a roll of camera film. Anthony's character is then followed back to USA where they(KGB) try to kill him for film. He (AE) is player of paintball hit squad, who breaks into classroom and steals a tranquilizer gun and turns table on Russians by tranquilizing them to free girlfriend(CIA operative) an then turn over film to authorities.

Saw this movie first when I was a teenager, found out my wife hadn't seen it. Since she is an Anthony Edwards fan thought she should. It is an 80s cheesy classic that everyone can enjoy.

This movie is an early example of the acting ability of Anthony Edwards.
Quite intriguing, actually, very fun spy thriller. Highly recommended to
anyone who wants a movie that can be watched many times.
