Synopsis

You might have heard about a wonderful little yarn store in downtown Seattle. Debbie Macomber can take you there!

In the year since it opened, A Good Yarn has thrived -- and so has Lydia Hoffman, the owner. A lot of that is due to Brad Goetz. But when Brad's ex-wife reappears, Lydia is suddenly afraid to trust her newfound happiness. Elise Beaumont joins one of Lydia's popular knitting classes. Living with her daughter, Aurora, Elise learns that her onetime husband plans to visit and that Aurora wants a relationship with her father, regardless of how Elise feels about him. Bethanne Hamlin is facing the fallout from a divorce and joins the knitting class as the first step in her effort to recover a sense of dignity and hope. Courtney Pulanski is a depressed and overweight teenager. She's staying with her grandmother, who's trying to help by taking her to the knitting class at A Good Yarn.

Four women, brought together by the craft of knitting, find companionship and comfort in each other. Who would've thought that knitting socks could change your life?

This is her new yarn shop series and I just loved them! They were a fairly quick read. It was a new way of writing with each character getting a chapter. Very fun and lots about knitting, women and life! Loved it!

I loved this book. It is in the Blossom Street Series. I love all of Debbie Macomber's books. She's an excellent writer and can portray life's every day events in her books. Her characters come from different lives, and mingle together, just as you really might see in real life. When I read this book, it was as if I was reading, a Nonfiction story. Thanks so much!

I love to knit and Debbie combines my two passions, reading and knitting. All those books by Debbie I bought on Ebay were in excellent shape and a very reasonable price. Debbie includes patterns in her books that the characters have knit in the book. Very Cool!

Enjoyable 2nd in Blossom Street series
Review created: 11/09/09

I read the first book of the Blossom Street series and had the third one, but I wanted to read them in order. This was typical Debbie Macomber. The characters are real and the reader cares about what happens in their lives. I look forward to reading more about A Good Yarn. Also like that it is a quick read.

I heard about the Blossom Street series, and I know they have been out a while, They were recommended to me. I had to read the series. This is the second book, and it was great. I enjoyed meeting the new characters. Lots of lessons learned in these books. Also a lot of knitting. My next project--learn to knit. Inspired by The Blossom Street series. If you haven't read these books, I would recommend them also. Have fun and keep reading.

Haven't read yet... saving for vacation. Read a review on this series and it sounded like interesting reading... I don't understand why I must type at least 100 characters, when just a few will get the thought across to any small minded person or computer program.

  Super Fast Fun Reading!
Review created: 05/26/07

Another sequel story, but if you have not read the others, you will still enjoy this story tremendously. It is very fast reading, and the type of story you can curl up with and before you know it the day is gone because you were so engrossed. Debbie Macomber always writes a great novel, you won't be disappointed in this one. Great characters!
