Good Grief by Lolly Winston (2005, Paperback, Reprint)

I bought it for my book club. We all liked it, especially the success story aspect. It's a feel sad/ feel good story written for the female audience. It begins just after a young, successful woman becomes a widow. It follows the next year of her life: the ups & downs. Poignant & amusing.

Lolly Winston is one of my new favorite authors. I read another one of her books, Happiness Sold Separately and I really enjoy her writing style. I loved this book!

Very quick and easy read. Sophie is a character you could really be friends with, someone to go through the ups and downs of a tough time in life, especially to see come out the other side of grief.

I thought this book would be REALLY depressing! But, it wasn’t at all. I cried, I laughed and didn’t want to put it down until the very end! It had humor woven throughout the book, a hard thing to do when dealing with such a sensitive subject. Absolutely wonderful read!!!!!!!!
