THIS SERIES IS ABOUT A WITCH-BOUNTY HUNTER LOCATED IN CINCINNATI, OHIO. A GREAT PLAGUE THAT KILLED MOST OF HUMANITY, THE ANGEL VIRUS, CREATED SUPERNATURAL BEINGS. FULL OF WEREWOLFS, WITCHES, VAMPIRES, PIXIES, FAIRIES, LEPRECHAUN'S AND MORE. THIS IS THE "NEW" WORLD. WRITTEN IS A REALISTIC VERSION OF A FANTASY, THE CHARACTERS ARE VERY LIFE-LIKE & RELATABLE.

START WITH THE BOOK "DEAD WITCH WALKING" THEN READ "THE GOOD,THE BAD AND THE UNDEAD" OR BUY THE BOOK "THIS WITCH FOR HIRE" WHICH INCLUDES BOTH OF THESE STORIES IN ONE HARDCOVER COLLECTABLE BOOK.

THIS IS A AWESOME SERIES FOR THOSE WHO LOVE THE PARANORMAL...YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!

Kim Harrison-Pure Genius

Racheal Morgan, the main Protagonist of the story, can't seem to keep herself out of trouble.

Living in Cincinnati is an day to day challenge for the Earth Witch. Surviving the numerous death threats by the Inderland firm ISB, Racheal Morgan ends up living with a living Vampire who is the last kin of her blood line. Witches and Warlock alike are ending up dead and some how they all are likn to one of the most powerful and notoriost hero in the city Trent Kalamack.

This story will have you entertain from beginning to end, you will not put the book down.

If only Kim Harrison made more beyond book 9.

  Another enjoyable read

This book really pulled me further into Rachel Morgan's world. Lots of humor, a bold and sassy heroine who overcomes her faults and lives to fight another day. Love the sexual tension between her and Trent, and it is there! Hope a future work will sucumb to the possibilities. In the meantime she can play with Nick and Kist. A lot of background was provided for future storylines also. I'm looking forward to The Outlaw Demon Wails (Harrison must be a big Eastwood fan).

  GREAT BOOK!!
Review created: 07/19/07

I have to be honest and say that I don't remember exactly what happened in this particular book. However, I have read the entire series so far and every single book is excellent! I LOVE them all - definitely ones you can read over and over. There is all kinds of tension in each book from sexual to fearful. I love the background of the "Tomato disaster" which adds humor to all of the books. Plus there is quite a variety of fantasy characters included: witches, warlocks, pixies, faeries, elves, were-creatures, and vampires. I love her descriptions of how society combining all races. I love her struggle to do the right thing while not tainting her soul or hurting her loved ones. I admire her character ... faults and all.

This book pretty much starts off where Dead Witch Walking ended. In this book we learn a little more about Rachel's past and there's some added romance for us fans as well! Very enjoyable read. I give this book a thumbs up!

Loved Book three (yeah started at the end *sad*) and just had to find out what happened before and was not disappointed. Book one was definately damn good, book two was also very good but more of a preperation novel for book three (Trent! *squeals*) Love the characters, love her writing style and love the world she's created!

Anita Blake and Stephanie Plum in one great Heroine

If you have not yet read a Kim Harrison book the time is now. ALL her books are great! I'm not exaggerating. There is action from start to finish and definitely some steam. There is NOTHING I dislike about this book. My only complaint is she writes only one a year and it's too long to wait. Get in on the ground floor and get all her books. They are all keepers!!!
