Good Advice (DVD, 2002)

Overall, Good Advice has its moments, but tends to be a rather average comedy. Charlie Sheen is pretty good as the main character, along with Denise Richards, but the movie tends to be rather disappointing. It seems to make situations funny by making them outrageous, however, this makes them appear to be implausible. Good Advice does offer a few great moments. I recommend it for a one time watch, but definitely not anything that I could watch repeatedly.

This is one of the best "Feel Good" movies that I have ever seen.
Angie Harmon and Martin Sheen have definitive chemistry on screen.
The entire cast works well together to create a sense of "I'm there" while you're watching.
If you want to feel good... after a bad day... watch it.

Good Advice is a romantic comedy about a stock broker that loses his job. His girl friend who writes an advice column for a news paper walks out on him and goes to South America shortly there after. He is without a job and broke, so he assumes her identity and advice column. The column becomes extremely popular, at which point the media wants to interview her and a competing news paper wants to hire her. At this point the movie become quite funny as romantic feels begin to grow between him and the owner of the paper (who doesn't know he is writing the column) and things get interesting when his ex girl friend returns.

I like the movie enough to buy it and watch any time I need a laugh. Hats off to the people that cast this movie: Charlie Sheen, Angie Harmon, Denise Richars, Jon Lovitz, Rossana Arquette and Berry Newman are at their best.

Needless I like this movie and have no bad comments on it.
