Rotella "Golf is Not a Game of Perfect"

I was looking for the Rotella golf book. The price was right -- inexpensive and the shipping low/reasonable. So I ordered it.
The book was in better than average condition and deliver was very promptly.
Nice, quick ebay transaction.
As far as the book content was, I was somewhat disappointed. Having not read anything by Rotella and hearing all this praise of the content, I was expecting more.
The book had a repetitious set of examples, with no clear cut methodology of applying his mantra. Obviously, one needs to ignore the bad things that happen and believe in your skills/self. But what builds that confidence? For someone that does not easily forget what just happened, it is not at all clear what practical actions one should take. Afterall that last bad shot most likely happened in the last 15 minutes. I personally do not dwell on my shots, but I tend to recall that last bad shot. To suggest, like the basketball player after numerous misses, one should think "I am due for a basket" sounds arogant or egotistical or foolhardy.
But then again, this is sports psychology, not quantum mechanism. Warm and fuzzy is the norm.
